  • Thanks Beenie. Good Spot. Are ASUS laptops quite reliable etc? Anyone used saveonlaptops before? They're ok right?

Ah my mistake Donnie, didn't realise they were different

Asus have a great reputation for reliability. Along with Toshiba they are said to be the most reliable.

Not sure about that shop though :S
  • As luck would finally have it, I just managed to snag one of those Toshiba A500-1GL that Donnie Said would be nice. Just happened to be looking on Argos Outlet and they had one on there. Given the stock levels available nationwide the other day when I called Argos I am hoping that this was the last one available because it has dissappeared of the site now. Maybe it'll be a brand new one and not a refurb as advertised. Fingers crossed. Will Keep you posted when it arrives. End up I got it for £429.99. For an original £699.99 Laptop, I think I've got a great deal. :D
Thanks for everyones help, especially Donnie. Cheers ears

Glad you've finally managed to get yourself a bargain! I was going to suggest Asda as I've just found a laptop on there for a bargain that I've asked Father Christmas to get me :) I can't post direct links with being a new user, but here are some of the laptops that are currently on the Asda site, which I would personally buy/think are great deals for the price.
    • HP DV6 2112SA - This would be a definite recommendation as I've previously used this laptop every day for 3 months with no problems at all.
    • HP G62 A11SA
    • Samsung NP-R530-JA0JUK 15.6" Laptop
    • Toshiba 2.30GHz 15 Laptop - Windows 7
I hope these are useful to others who may be in search of a good bargain.
