I'm not sure this is the best time to buy Laptops anyway.
Maybe when all the 50 million students have finished buying you might get some better offers.0 -

Two false assumptions, when the next tranche of students have finished conning their (1) parents to pay through the nose for an overspeced lappie, it will be ( 2 ) Christmas and time for the retail / manufacturer's to charge an inflated through the nose price for everything on the planet

You won't find an i3 laptop much cheaper than that. It's got a good spec but consider buying an extended guarantee at some point as Acer's only have average reliability.0 -

So what do you think to the MSI http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSI-CR610-BLU-RAY-16IN-LAPTOP-REFURB-/360296938637?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item53e35efc8d#ht_2073wt_937
Some people are saying the processor will let you down performance wise. What say you?0 -
I bought this, and am happy to recommend it.

I've seen some anti- ebuyer threads here on MSE but the transaction for me was simple and straightforward - paid my money and received the goods, not much more you can ask for! I'd certainly buy from them again.0 -
I never recommended it as basically you were paying £75 more (over the one just sold out) for a Bluray player that you are unlikely ever to use. The Sony had a Bluray writer. Much more useful.
So I can hardly say to you now that you should buy it. This MSI CR610 at £299, sold out last night. It was much better value. But well below your budget.0
