  • I've just been looking at today's email (Weds 22nd). I'm pleased to say that many of the things I moaned about last week have been sorted. The whole thing is looking clearer and more professional. We do still have that typeface and the cutesy cartoonish pictures though.

Does this happen to any other Gmail users ie the white text on a light grey background for the header?

Still the same this week, assume you can't be bothered fixing it. From replies in this thread, it affects two of the biggest webmail providers.

Also this week, Gmail has clipped the email, it dosen't display it all by default (because it is too long). It cuts off immediatly after 'Board of the Week", requiring you to click a link to read the rest of the message, including all the disclaimers at the bottom - I don't know if there are any legal implications of that.

help,i cant read mine, been getting e mail for years now,but cant read new one, why?
  • You're not the only one, mo1 ...
In my case, it is clearly because I remove all images before reading.
It used to print "image removed for security purposes" within the boundary of the picture (obviously with the font size varied to reflect the size of the image). So it was still neatly laid out and easy to read.
Now, that text is printed right across the email in large font with no reference to the image boundary.
It overwrites the rest of the text, making large parts unreadable.
I can get around the problem, but I wish I didn't have to ...
  • Hey All,

If you are having issues it would be most helpful to let us know which email provider you use and also, importantly, which client you use to render the email, eg. Outlook, Mac Mail or if you are using a webmail solution which website/package - hotmail, gmail, squirrelmail etc.

    The more information the better!

    Thanks

    Neil

    Hi

Thanks for raising this - far from not being bothered to solve it, we are very concerned and fixed it for last weeks tipo (as far as we know).

A glitch in the template meant that it reverted to the bad version for this week - we are making sure that doesnt happen again.

    Thanks
