Sorry the way you have been treated here tired one. Many of the regulars here love to jump on people like yourself, I think they get off on it.

If I had been wrongfully detained by a store manager I'd be extremely angry too.

I'd be looking for compensation for their careless atitude, not read all the thread but have you spoken to their head office?
  • Dear Miss Tired One

I can only apologise for the distress caused on your recent visit to Tesco. As the store manager I find it distressing enough to be there when I'm getting paid so I can't imagine what its like for you coming in and paying us.

I'm very sorry Terry, our Chief of Security on the Starship Tesco, acted in an appalling and abusive manner. Terry suffers many mental flashbacks from his time in Vietnam, he was napalmed by a rogue Vietcong lamb and is prone to outbursts of violence when he see's one, even if its vacuum packed and dead. He is currently undergoing Tesco Value Counselling (please see our website for your nearest centre)

I was further saddened to hear that you suffered such awful metal distress and as a measure of that I am sending you some Tesco Finest Oil and polish for your distressed metal.

Furthermore, I will personally allow you the use of a pricing gun for 5 unsolicited minutes on our meat aisle where you may price to your hearts content (value items only*)

Thankyou for bringing this to our concern and let me assure you the next £2billion we make will always be tinged with the stain of your metallic misendeavour

    Regards

    Mr Store Manager

The experience you had obviously upset you.
May I politely suggest that you order your Tesco shopping online for the time being to avoid any future upset while you are in a fragile state of mind?
Unfortunately, bad experiences happen and most people shrug them off as part of life's rich pattern. However, as you have difficulties coping at present it often best to step away from the situations that you anticipate will cause you difficulties.

The people posting here who do not understand your fragile state will say things that upset you further so again as a suggestion it may have been better to discuss the incident with your support worker. He/she witnessed the incident. We all need to let off steam but I believe that this forum is not the best place for you to do so.
It's a public forum so people will post their views and those views may not be in accordance with your own views.
Take it easy, let it go and have a rant with your support worker.

no! of course not, He grabbed me, surrounded me and did not ask me to, he demanded i did so, the fact physical contact was made is against the law, you telling me that being grabbed from behind would not frighten you, i just feel that why is a bit of respect too much too ask for, had it been how you describe i would not be in this position, plus there was no apology at the time? merely a oh ive made a mistake, you can leave now.
All these security guards grabbing hold of people does seem rather strange, seems to happen on a regular basis. Maybe they all caught a virus at the same time.
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

did you get what you wanted?
  • Don't sue. Filing for compensation only increases metal distress.
