Normally I'd not read the thread and just post "NO". This time, I read it carefully.

    NO.

They made a mistake which they have apologised for, that's all that should be needed. Can you not accept that?

    This.

You have received an apology and you have no losses through the incident.
  • Tesco have fufilled their obligations under the law, and also offered an apology. I have sympathy for the OP, you actually sound an awful lot like my Mother who would have also reacted in the same way you did. Personally I think a gesture of goodwill, a bunch of flowers and perhaps a voucher would have been good customer service to include with the apology.

my point exactly, ok so i shouldnt sue them, but where did customer service go,

you do realise they are legally allowed to detain you for up to 30 minutes upon reasonable evidence of theft?
and as for the subjective description of their attitude, what do you expect when they think you are a thief?

you dont have to go with them, simply ask what the problem is there and then, allow an inspection of your bags, then walk away.

There is no way he could have had any reasonable evidence of theft as i went no where near the lamb isle, hence why i feed discrimated against, i feel his attitude was due to the girls who had stolen some clothes just 10 mins before and he decided to take it out on me.

what are the circumstances that make you feel "discriminated" , do you feel you were "singled" out because of disability, creed, colour or ethnicity?

You might be able to get something out of them for how upset and stressed you felt, but I've been unable to find one single reference to a distressed piece of metal in your post.
