2 pictures of bergen for you0

I booked one of these cruises for weekend 24th February, for my mum and dad who are now unfortunately, unable to go. I booked a sea view cabin. I have had a look and it states that there is a charge of £5 per name change, but if anybody is interested, please PM me and they can gladly have it.0

Well suppose to be going on Saturday but well what with the costs involved and possibly the boredom of our 9yr old who thought there was a kids clubs etc on there, I have decided that we may go to London and go the science museum, natual history museum etc instead a lot less money as I have family there and very educational too, we also worked out that we wouldnt see much scenery as we arrived late at night and would only have an hour or so off the boat when the shops weren't even open, any takers for some freebie tickets for this weekend I have two cabins to two people if anyone is interested.0

We were due to go this half term week but decided to pull out and go to Disneyland Paris instead. Very glad we changed our mind and had a great time. Didn't savour the thought of such a long crossing in rough seas, and probably wouldn't get to do much sight seeing in Bergen anyway. Currently scanning Ryanair website for flights to Norway instead. Much more efficient means of travel :-)0

Yes we did - just got back at 6.00am this morning - should have been back at 8:00pm last night!!!
We had a fantastic time - kids thoroughly enjoyed it - it was a real adventure - Storm Force 10-12 seas  - much upchucking all around (admittedly kids didn't enjoy that bit) - free meals - got a misprice on some lager at the onboard duty-free  , what more could an MSEer ask for!
Will post some more details later for sexy_f and anyone else and perhaps compare notes with fellow travellers.
MEGA BIG THANKS to OP Salster
(Just going through the post and it looks like we've got tickets for Virgin Trains next weekend!!!)
Cheers,

glad you enjoyed it even though the sea were rough, was it only rough on way back, did you get ur full time in bergen, what meals did you get for free?0

This was when the sea had quietened down on the return trip! It was stormy both ways - worst on the outward trip.
We were supposed to arrive at something like 10 or 11 in the evening on the Wednesday but didn't get there until around 7 or 8 on the Thursday morning due to the severe weather.
We got a free evening buffet in the Seven Seas on the Wednesday evening (announced 20 minutes after we'd bought food in the Coffee Shop!!) and got a free breakfast in the Seven Seas this morning (not announced but we found out!).
Still got our full time in Bergen which was a lovely place - will link to some piccies off the forum later.
Cheers,
Bubba©0
