Morning all.
Not strictly flying (but it is the weekend)
Does it really make any difference which supermarket you use?
My nearest (by car) are Mr S and Mr A I normally use Mr S (don't like A - too big and confusing)
Other direction I have a Lidl - again by car. As I am shopping for one have never felt I could justify the cost of a delivery.
My impression is that comparing prices is a bit swings and roundabouts - plus you spend on petrol.

Morning all
Still catching up on the thread!Thank you everyone, what a sh!tty day I've had, but I've calmed down now. When I went back to the doctors of course they were running behind and bub was SCREAMING the place down. I was standing in the foyer trying to rock him so he didn't deafen everyone ink the waiting room when my midwife who looked after me when I was pregnant came out. All she did was ask if I was ok and I burst into tears, so she took Jake from me, took me to her office and I told her what happened. Before I'd even told her who it was she knew who I was talking about and was really angry. She tried to get Jake breastfeeding once we were home and she told me she knew he'd never be a breast feeder. She said my boobs are too bigand he'd have to work really hard and it would have been so stressful for both of us, especially as I already have a toddler and OH went back to work the day after bub and I came back from the hospital. He did get colostrum in his feeding tube. I really wish I could have breast fed him, it would have saved a lot of faff with formula, colic drops, sterilising and the damn breast pump. But anyway the midwife calmed me down, said she would "have a word" with the HV in question and told me how to complain if I want to. And she told me to carry on exactly as I was doing because Jake is perfect
The little fatty weighs 13lbs!
Anyway, thanks again everyone, this thread is a lifeline. Will get flying again tomorrow when DS1 is at school. Need to blitz LR and upstairs. Need to (ironically) sterilise bottles and feed bub before I can go to bed but I can feel my eyes closing...
Night night
Hx
So pleased to see your MW is supportive. I would urge you to put the complaint in writing as it is the only way to make sure this is on record. If you don't feel you have the time or energy then get a friend to help you and demand a written reply on what action has been taken.

Crafty, Im not sure about the 'where to shop' scenario.
S and A are about 5 miles in one direction and Lidl/Aldi are about 5 miles in the other direction.
I find S more expensive but fresh fruit and veg are much nicer and last longer, but I always find that meat from Mr S goes off long before the Use By date.
Fruit and Veg and Meat from Aldi/Lidl are all good, but have a much smaller selection and dont sell everything we want, so if I go there for a shop, I end up going to another shop anyway!
I havent yet sussed out the best way to manage it for us.
During the week, Sains and Tesco both do delivery for £3.50 and you can often find a code to get it for free.
Dont feel bad about having shopping delivered - Home Shopping in this country through supermarkets started in London through a Tesco store who took telephone orders for the eldery in the winter. They rolled it out to other retirement complexes etc throughout the years and we ended up with a national home shopping/delivery program with Sainsbugs follwed and then Asda.
There are thousands of people in the UK who have bread and milk delievered and thats it!!!xx

Can I ask for 'baby stay put' vibes please?
Prayers coming your way. Also for a bit more pain-free time.Craftyscholar wrote: »Does it really make any difference which supermarket you use?
I honestly think its how you shop, not where - obv unless you shop in m and s for food.
Unless you buy exactly the same each week, its hard to compare.
Even waitrose, I think, is only more expensive because I pick up more yummy things because there are more there IYSWIM.
So...depends how you shop/what you buy.
Triker hugs. And remember...
