On my Credit Report it tells me that I have been checked with regard to money laundering...0

Are you wanting to hide the fact of having all this money from the person you live with. If so, I was going to suggest an online bank and tell them you don't want any statements as someone has already suggested. Early in the 80s I worked with someone who had a little cleaning job, saving up money so she could leave her husband. She opened an account in a fictitious name but not long afterwards this became an impossibility due to the demand for proof of name, address etc. because of money laundering.0

A foreign bank maybe channel islands, but there's not much I can advise if you don't say who you're hiding it from
I'm not going to jump to conclusions and presume you're defrauding the benefits system0 -

Cahoot survey
61% of us hide investments from our partners and women are more guilty than men. No wonder there's so many "lost investments" held by banks & insurers.
You still there [jay]?0 -
I dont know too much about this because I dont have enough money to spread accross two bank accounts, but:
1)What happened to the Swiss bank accounts?... or was that only in the movies?
2)If you want to keep the money somewhere safe, I'l be more than happy to keep it safe for you, 2.3%gross p.a (not FSA approved) T&C apply, 60day notification peroid.0 -
i think some of you have been a bit mean here by jumping to conclusions!!!
jay might not be trying to break the law by hiding his money, he could just be trying to hide it from abusive partner for example!!!
innocent until proven guilty!!!!!!!
no wonder poor jay hasn't been back on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Maybe this will change your mind it looks like he/she is trying to commit fraud - which isn't moneysaving
"Hi All,
Hope someone can help me or offer a little advice as i can not get no where with the DWP.
Basically I had a road traffic accident last year that was not my fault, and im in line for a nice sum of money later on.
I have been told that if monies received is for personal injuries only it will not affect my state benefit. Only monies from loss of wages can be touched and used to pay back what i have got from the DWP.
Also i have been told that anything over £3k will affect my benefit.
Can anyone confirm this or know in more detail.
I get told one thing then another.
Many thanks,
Regards Jay."0 -

They're not too fussy about where the cash came from though, worth remembering if you ever become a dodgy politician or dictator...0
