sistercas this is the one I am using....not made it before so can`t vouch for it yet:cool:
  • He got a lovely black 3 piece suit in Next and even agreed to having a hot pink shirt to tie in with the hot pink gerbera buttonhole. Sounds awful but it looks lovely.....honest.
I also got to go in Paperchase:D and look at all the stationery:Tnot for long though as OH was moaning"its just pens and stuff". i told him most
people on here love it and he looked at me like we are all barmy:rotfl:

    - One of my best friends got married in Feb and she had pink gerbera's as her flowers and buttonholes etc. Her hubby and ushers all had hot pink shirts too and they all looked fab. Really made her pictures stand out. I got to keep the flowers off her cake (it's a tradition we have amongst our friends). Oh, and as the founder of the OS Stationary Anonymous group, tell your OH that he is clearly the barmy one for thinking it's "just pens and stuff" :p :rotfl:

Rather than head back to bed this morning I decided to go for a walk by the sea cos it looked lovely. I took my book and sat by the sea for half hour, the tide was coming in and it was practically deserted. Bliss. It was very windy though! It smelt divine, all salty and fresh.

There appears to be something happening in the dock outside today. There is a small gazebo set up, a few people milling around and a powerboat. Now the dock really isn't big enough for the powerboat so not sure why that is launching! There are normally triathalons held here but they tend to start earlier. I'm going to sit on balcony and watch whatever it is. My balcony is sheltered so shouldn't be too windy!

Can someone tell me how I upload pics on here?

    Good Morning all,
just had a nice long chat with my brother who lives in france. He has been making some wine.A neighbour of his needed some electrical work doing on his property so David said he would help and this chap said he could take all his surplus crop of grapes if he wanted them so he had a trailerful which him and his partner sandra have made good use of .He estimates he will have between 30-40 litres of the stuff by the time he's finished, works out at around 37p a litre .More than enough to see them through the winter:) she uses it in cooking as well as glugging it:). He was saying how expensive vegatables were where he is .Sandra paid 4.5 euros for a cauliflower yesterday, but only 11 euros for a leg of lamb so I think its swings and roundabouts at times. He is going to see if he can make up a big box to grow some green veggies in.Where he is a lot of stuff is bartered. One of his french neighbours gave him lots of surplus beef tomatos in exchange for david doing a bit of grass cutting .He has a sit on mower that he uses to cut grass during the summer for people who have holiday houses down there. He says the extra vegatables help out in the winter and sometimes he gets wood-loads for his wood-burning fire. They live in quite a rural area of France and most of the folk there seem to be happy to barter goods for services which seems an excellent idea to me.
Well the sun is shining at the moment but rain is forecast tonight so I'm going to stick a wash on and hopefully get it dried before I go to my Dds late this afternoon.I also have some cake making to do to fill up my cake tins .I hope everyone has a good day.
    Cheers JackieOxx
Just off to listen to the Archers on the wireless
  • Slight change of plan here, DS2 has just gone out for the day to Loch Lomond, boating with his friend's family. Lovely for him, sad for me, I was looking forward to some together time. Keep an eye out for him, Camelot;) he'll be the cute one :D

Flutterby am glad that colour combo worked at that wedding..it convinces me I made the right decision:D

No Falady yet today! maybe there is news:T
  • Welcome Mrs Piglet you will love it on here, and make great friends.

Unusally for me I have already emptied and reloaded to DW. Have also picked up a lot of the kitchen roll and tissues that my chihuahuas love to shread to pieces and leave on the floor - I honestly don't know where they find them. Seeing Mum later, might suggest we take our dogs to one of the country parks as it is such a lovely day. ohhhhhhhhhhh I hope Falady has gone into labour, how exciting! x
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

    morning all!

    welcome to Mrs Piglet!

JackieG - that boating trip sounds lovely wish I was going with your DS!;)

Flutterby - I'm having the same as you for my tea - stuffed pepper, roasted new pots and veggies:) I just adore your recipe, my favourite meal at the moment:T

I'm making some leek and potato soup for lunch.

Taplord and I have been really lazy this morning, breakfast in bed - more sleep for him and a good read of my Lee Child book for me:D

I've just had a quick tidy up, WM on its second load(lovely drying day) still got a load of ironing to do later.

I finally spent my birthday money yesterday(from July) on a new pair of shoes for winter from Clarkes(£50:eek:) I need comfort for work as I'm wearing them for about 12 hours at a time.I just cant wear cheap shoes, if my feet aren't comfy I'm a miserable old cow:D

PenPen - I enjoyes strictly too, poor Anton never gets anyone any good does he!

hope you all have a pleasant day x

The weather has cheered up so the beds are stripped and some on the line already.

Hope there's news from Falady soon and NPM your colour scheme sounds fab.
