I've found some completely plain white ones that look fine but they are dry clean only which I'm not happy about so the hunt goes on.........:)Herman - MP for all!

Och dry clean only my bum! Every pair of curtains I own says Dry Clean only on them. Cool wash and they'll be fine, what fabric are they? It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

I agree with Jackieglasgow if that is the case, check the fabric content on the label, if they are 50% cotton and 50% polyester then a cool wash and hung dry should do the trick nicely.
If they are 100% cotton buy a slightly larger size to allow for a little shrinkage unless it says the are pre-shrunk.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Says this...
100% cotton. Lining 50% cotton 50% polyester. Bonded backing 100% acrylic.
Seems to have a built in lining.....I'm assuming that's why they are dry clean only. *insert shruggy smilie here*Herman - MP for all!

Oh, Ok, if the curtains and lining are different fabrics then I'd not risk it either.
I'll keep my eyes open

I was trying to do the same as you.. white walls, white curtains, and various white & coloured duvets to break the room up.
I managed to get some in Next (but this was last year)..They were dry clean only, but basically this is because they have a plastic coated lining material behind. You will find with white curtains that the sunlight does beam through them considerably more. If you are trying to keep the room darker....i.e child sleeping etc. then I would recommend having a pair lined.0 -
I got some curtains recently from here
