Investment tip....buy white curtains.

I have driven 50 miles today in an effort to get some plain white curtains. Can I get them? Nope can I heck. Clearly they are a rarity and as such may be worth hunting down and investing in.
Seriously though, why the heck are these things so difficult to get? I can find cream or ivory or white with spots or strips but I just want plain white! Even the likes of Debenhams don't do matching curtains for their duvet sets anymore. Which is a shame considering they have various white duvet sets at the moment.
I've found a few websites selling white but white isn't white..it can be white, creamy white, off white etc etc. I really wanted to see the in the flesh as it were.
Don't suppose anyone has seen plain white curtains in a store recently?

Ikea? It wasn't recent, but we got some white curtains there, the long kind with the tab tops.0

200 miles away from me and they don't deliver.

Ebay may be worth a try for ikea curtains. there are a number of ebay sellers who re-sell new ikea items, taking advantage of the fact that ikea do not do mail order for small things.
Dunelm Mill do a wide range of curtains too.0 -
White anything seems to be rare in the UKBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

If you want to have matching curtains/duvet - why not buy two extra single duvet covers - they make excellent (lined) curtains!0

Oh no...that involves 'making' them. The craft gene passed my generation by.
:D
Anyway the duvet is white with big green flowers (sound horrible but it's not...well at least imo
) but I was after plain white curtains so it would be easier to ring the changes.

Another curtain hunter here

My tip for you is to find a curtain maker, then find the material!
You will get made to measure, far far superior curtains too.

If it was for a main bedroom or living room etc, I might but it's only a small spare bedroom so I can't really justify getting them made. I'd be lucky to find someone to do it up here anyway.Herman - MP for all!

(I meant a mate that might have a machine, little old lady that might sew)
put an advert in a newsagent and see what happens. It doesn't have to be that expensive.0 -
