The idea is people give them to you for free for your own personal use. This is very much against the ethos and karma of freecylce.

When i was de-cluttering (but pre light bulb) i gave to Freecycle allowing my stuff to be re-sold. If someone has the energy i would rather it is re-sold than dumped. Apparently my junk made £150 for Too Many Tears dog charity. So car booting it might well be fine with the giver. Binning it is wrong.....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -

I didn't win :embarasse
Nor me....... Neither was I able to get the item from the M&M code as the offer has been pulled due to abuse!"A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Do not be pursuaded into buying what you do not need or cannot afford." Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.410 -

Get you Emily!!! You're flying away too! I have to say this thread is fantastic - with a little bit of inspiration ALL of us are generating money from nothing! Thanks for starting the thread! I think we'll definately have to do the challenge again.... My bank balance is loving it! Can't wait to hit the magical figure and then 'lose' a creditor near Christmas...."A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. I know, it will be a great feeling to ditch that Capital One card of mine!! :T
I am definitely up for doing another challenge after this one.0 -
Oooh... well done to everyone - that total is amazing! :T :T Thanks again to Frugal Fox (should we call you FF?!) for keeping track of everything!
I'm anticipating an increase in my total any day now! :T I have sold a set of books that was a present years ago on amazon for about £17 :j (unopened) so once I have posted them I will know how much of that is profit. My items on ebay are going okish... still a long time to go on them so I'm hoping interest will pick up. I'm finding childrens things (little books, cds, little cuddly toys) are very reasonable in charity shops and seem to go ok on ebay, fingers crossed!
Can't wait until I can start matched betting... I'm holding off cos i want to do it as part of this challenge but I'm getting impatient now :rotfl:
Well done everyone... keep it up!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way
