Not sure if this will help, but I know the matched betting concept has been mentioned here in relation to this challenge.

Like others, I am trying to get my head around the concept by reading the newbie threads.

However, just looking on the mortgage free wannabe board I came across this post

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=88679&page=11
(sorry don't know how to make it a link)

See the post #410 by Tim_L .... very easily explained.

    Hope that might help someone.

Edit: - oh, didn't realise that once I submitted it, it would create the link

:T Got another 99p from a video sale on ebay (present from years back - Desperately seeking susan with Madonna it it!!) and also 99p from some free photo paper I got with a ink cartridge I bought. So that's another £1.98 onto it.

I'm heading off to Canada for a week (work related:beer:) so my challenge is on hold until I get back in just over a weeks time.

Good luck with it you lot!!

Eeekkk....just tried to sign on to FHM for the free £10. It said it couldn't verify me and that I had to send in ID as proof. When I called them they said that the offer has been withdrawn even though the banner is still showing.

Well that was a waste of time then.

Emily why don't you do all the write up on turbo lister but leave the pics blank, that way on sunday all you have to do is add the pics which is the easiest bit to do so shouldn't take long?

Thanks Batgirl, I will do that. It doesn't look like my mannequins are going to show up today

I've just made my first matched bet and I am scared!! I really hope I have done it right, we shall wait and see as I bet on a match that takes place tonight

I will let you all know how it goes. It took £90 of my fund to do this. I bet on a draw on the Wycombe v Torquay match. I got back odds on Tote of 3.4 and lay odds of 3.6 at Betfair.
  • Good morning everyone! Sorry I haven't posted for ages but have been super busy - I've just read through the whole of the thred though - wow it's long!

So far I've £50 from YouGov, £44 from paddypower, (from the £2 free credit - yippee!), £15 from pigsback through betfair, (boo hoo that that's now over!), £2 from Swapits, £169.28 from Quico and matched betting, (I've only signed up to the betting sites on Quico to get this - are there more intro offers? Sorry to sound dumb - I'm not even doing the matched betting properly - I just put opposite bets on different betting companies to get a lot of the money I put on for Quico cashback/free bets back and it works - have about 80% back plus all the cashback - yippee!)

Will try and get my camera working to list things on ebay, hunt for things to sell and send a SAE to FHM for the £10 - any other ideas anyone??

Oh and I found 5p in the street!! Will now update my signature and I've done a few mystery shops but no money received yet! Also free sim cards are some of the things I will sell on ebay.

I'm really glad that everyone seems to be doing so well - well done and keep it up!!!!

I've just worked out that I have got £24.24 'spendable money' at the moment.

I have got a lot to sell on Ebay though, just waiting for my mannequins to show up.

I'm also hoping to make a tidy profit on the matched betting thing. I signed up using Greasypalm and R Points by the way which should net me £30 extra straight away :D
