Can I make £1,024 in 11 weeks from nothing?

  • This challenge is getting very addictive. In the first week I had made £8.84 after all the selling costs from selling free vouchers on Ebay. I then bought 2 books in a charity shop, but think I made the wrong choice as they do not seem to be doing well at all on Ebay. So that maybe £1.60 down the drain. On the up side I paid £2 on a couple of magazine subscriptions through quidco and get £15 cashback. So now I am up to £20.24, not sure what to do with this, can't seem to get my head around what sells and what doesn't.

CAFCGirl as far as I am aware buying the materials from your free money should be fine. Hopefully someone else can verify this. Too slow again, thanks ehallet, great thread by the way.

    Well done :T

Have a lovely holiday - are there any charity shops in Greece? ;) :rotfl:
  • Hi turtle. If you go onto quidco, under entertainment and you will find mag subs. All you have to do is sign up for 3 issues for £1 and then make sure you cancel your Direct Debit once you have your 3 issues, otherwise you start making the bigger payments. I signed up for evo and computer shopper, £15 cashback. Hope this helps.

Ummmm....sorry but surely the Quidco cashback on subs won't count as you've had to spend a £1 to get it....unless the £1 was from money you've already made.

Can you tell I keep having great ideas and realising they don't count....have not done well this week so must get better....fast! :D

Oooh but on a clear out yesterday I found a coupon in the paper for a free Martina Cole book - and it's still valid! yeay!

Emily.......I have some free building society shares and £16.50 in dividends just landed in my bank a/c.....can that count?

Well my second lot of clothes have turned up but still no mannequins so I really don't want to put them on Ebay until they show up. Hopefully they may turn up today still, I'm not too sure how they were sent.

I wanted to get everything on Turbolister so that when I come back from London on Sunday evening, I can just upload them all.

Annie - to answer your previous question yes the Monthly Grocery Challenge is on the Old Style Board - and has saved me quite a bit of money so far - just changed a few shopping habits and am more aware of what I pop in the basket now.

Anyway, back on topic, tomorrow I am going to a charity shop and will see what I can get and will update here on Monday. Weather is far too horrible today to even attempt looking in my lunch hour... but then again, if I braved it, maybe I'd be the only one to get the bargains as everyone else is holed up at home, he he!
