Hi guys. I hope you don't mind me joining you all on here. I feel like I know you all from the £1024 challenge/olympic challenge etc.

Annie: my friend told me it can take a few weeks to start coming off - your body has to get used to the new eating/exercise regime - just keep going.

Right well the things I am doing are:
trying to do more walking (about 15 mins etc a day if poss.)
eat a piece of fruit a day
meal plan so we have a reasonable set of meals each week adn don't spend all the time shopping so more time to cook healthy stuff. This also seems to mean we don't eat out so much so healthier I think and cheaper (very MSE!)
Drink squash/fruit juice only at meal times as much as possible.

Have also lost the taste for coke which is quite handy but still sometimes my mind craves it but it doesn't do anything for me now though.

I know there is still a long way to go but am hoping that small changes will all add up. I have been told by my doctor that I need to loose weight so that's the main motivation and I know I will this time.

Hopefully will be going on a 3 session weight management thing at the doctors which should help and should really be going to the gym as well.
Making my money go further with MSE :j

Well only lost 1lb this week but 1lb is 1lb as had a 'bad' week. Only 4lbs until I am within a healthy weight range again.

Keep on trucking everybody. We can do it!

Am off for a swim tonight...

Well this week i've put that 4lb straight back on:mad: But it is that time of the month so maybe that has something to do with it. One thing i've noticed is that weight can go up or down 1/2 a stone from one day to the next but my plato seems to be around 11 1/2 stone i really want to get below 11 stone and stay there  .

Plus my sister-in law sent a big tin of celebrations for the kids:mad: we've only just got rid of our x-mas stash.

Not having a good week lets hope next week it better.

  • Hi all

I've not had a great week this week - sounds like a few of us have been the same! I've had chocolate and I haven't stuck to the meal plan. I haven't done any exercise apart from one lunchtime walk. So I was very surprised to find that I've lost another 2lb! Yay!

This has inspired me to go for a long walk today - especially as it's sunny and the wind has finally dropped.
