  • Finally checked up on all my pennies and pounds here and there. My target for xmas day was £256 and I came in at £273.21. I don't think I'm going to make the other couple of hundred pounds in a week but I'm hoping to get there sometime soon! I'm pleased with that so far!
  • Looking back through the pages of the thread I missed, think I will stop on the 31 Dec, start again in Jan and go for bronze. I don't think I will be able to aim any higher than that!

    I'm in..going for Gold!

Already got a box of stuff I can ebay from my parents. Are the rules going to be the same as last time - i.e. it has to be completely free stuff, so you can only count ebay profits if they came from selling a free item?

you dont really have to use that to cover your fees most of us (I think) have been selling the items then taking the fees out of the total amount made. eg final selling price + postage charged, then take off listing fee, final value fee, paypal charge and then postage, which will leave you with total profit. If the bank give you the £20 after the challenge starts you can use this as pure profit. (correct me if im wrong)

as for me, im still continuing with this challenge until the new one starts. Made another £10 tonight, parents going to the cinema and I had a £10 odeon voucher which I got for free so swapped it for £10 cash!

Hoping to aim for gold but probably wont even make bronze! but im happy with whatever money for nothing I get. Whatever I make from these challenges will be money I dont have to pay out of my wages or savings for my trip to China in September 2007
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • been debating whether to add another £10 to my total, got a £10 voucher through cashback site which I gave to my uncle for christmas. Wasnt going to buy a present but decided to give him the voucher in the end. Would have given in before christmas anyway and got him a present for between £5-£10 so what do you guys reckon?

The bronze amount is the original 1024 isn't it? Hmm, that's nearly half my debt, how nice :D

I found it easier to add the listing fees to the estimated value fees (using the highest sold item price) to the paypal fees and add it to the postage cost.

List the amount as the postage cost (this may make your postage costs seem a big higher than others but by less than 50p, but less than other sellers)

Then you wouldn't need to be wondering when the £20 of ebay and paypal fees will run out.

It will give you a good start to the challenge to buy stuff and make a profit

Might have to start complaining even more so than before to try and get free stuff (and should entertain the people at work with my rants to customer services):D
