Would it be possible for someone to post a summary of the challenges, how to get involved, and if there are specific start dates, etc. I'm really sorry, but I just dont have the energy to read through 141 pages/almost 3000 posts! I'm interested in finding out about the £3k challenge starting on Jan 7th too.

Hi Wings
Read post #2661 - that tells you how I achieved the last challenge. A thread starter will be up around the 5th.
Basically we are running the Olympic challenge where you can opt for which level you want
Gold = £3k
Silver = £2007
Bronze = £1007
All to be achieved over six months
Starting date is 7th Jan
Ending date 7th July
You have to make extra money on top of normal earnings
So you could gamble (make sure you use money from challenge tho)
Start mystery shopping
Sell stuff
Start a part time job
Etc Etc
On the thread starter I will add suggestions, tips and tricks of the trade from other posters on how to make money

Sounds like fun. Think I'll go for gold - why not, eh!? I think I'm going to start listing lots of junk on ebay, with a scheduled start date of after Jan 7th. Knowing my luck tho, nothing will sell, listing fees will be charged, and my total will be the only negative one in the challenge!!!

Hey Wings of Ambition....don't be too sure!! I did a mystery shop a few days ago and was going to put the money towards the new challenge......and I got a parking ticket so am starting off with a big fat minus!

Are we allowed to count any odd bits we get together over Christmas? I finished my last challenge on 17th Dec, but have a few bits of free money (pigsback and a market research) that came in since then.....

Can't wait for the 5th - have big plans for next year!!!:j

I am going to join this one too, and go for gold!

I wanted to do the 18k challenge but my boiler broke and put me back a bit (£2000)...but I refuse to be beaten I have come up with a few ideas, from the usual Ebay to creating weekend breaks so am really excited about 2007:j

If you mean about the weekend breaks, it all started when a horribly fit friend of mine went on a 'bootcamp' weekend but moaned that it didn't push them enough and that the accomodation was too good (she paid £200 for a weekend and moaned it was to comfy:eek: ) So I have got intouch with someone I know who does these weekends professionally. I will get the people together and they'll do the weekend. I could earn up to £1000 a weekend:T Will have to work at getting the punters but could be a great sideline

I'm in, need all the help we can, will go for bronze as I'm not entirely sure how much free time I'll have the early part of this year. (All summer however, I'm hording and ebaying sending mother to the Post Office :rotfl:)
