:staradmin :staradmin :staradmin HOT DEAL :staradmin :staradmin :staradmin

How about making money for the challenge, from the Tabasco Odeon tickets? As they work out at £2.58 each you could apply for them and then sell them when they arrive for £5 each BIN on E-bay (if you don't want them that is)?

SO... don't forget to grab Tabasco sauce in the supermarkets - the last date for you to get the tokens to them is 31st December - bottles are £1.29 each and if you buy two and cut out each coupon (£2.58) you can send off for a FREE Odeon cinema voucher - a massive saving of £3.92 per ticket. :T

I have got 6 Odeon tickets to claim so far (bought 12 bottles) and enough Tabasco to last years - in fact I checked and the bottles only expire in 2011 :D:D:D

    6 Odeon tickets = £39 at normal price @ £6.50 each
    6 Odeon promo tickets = £15.48 @ £2.58 each

Saved £23.52 so far on 6 tickets!

As it is one per household, you will need to harrass any friends and family that you can so you can use their address.

Start 2007 in style by reducing your cinema budget by two thirds!

EDIT > Sainsburys are doing the Tabasco bottles much cheaper - £1.16 I think! So I got another 10 at lunch :D:D:D
Thanks for this EagerLearner picked up 8 pepper style tonight at tesco (£1.14!!) and used coupons to pay for them so effectively they were free :T
Looks like this could be my first few £'ss for the new £3k challenge:T
Racking my brain for friends and family to see how many addresses I can use;) might get more tomorrow

Anyone want 7 bottles of Tobasco sauce???

No but by the time they come and I get them sold I expect it will be past 7th Jan so I'm hoping sale will be allowed to qualify for challenge.
  • CONGRATULATIONS ANNIE!! WELL DONE :)

i've fallen away of late due to a number of problems... from work to family illnesses :(

i haven't updated in a while but my funds are at approximately £650 (will update signature once i have an exact target). i started a week late so have another week to hit the target but things are getting worse so don't think i'll be able to do it.

i'm up for the 3k challenge but i think i'll have to include all the things i didn't included for the 1024 challenge.

once again... congratulations annie. you've shown that with hard work you CAN make money from nothing.

The energy comes from wanting to be debt free really - I am so determined!
I also want to not take my student loan for the last year of my course and be paying it back before I qualify. If I acheive £3k challenge then that should go along way towards my goals.

Good start - your lucky to get a bootsale we have none here in winter. My bathroom is piled high with toiletries and could possibly overflow by end of year - got another £20 worth of toiletries tonight for 96p. I am keeping all my receipts so I am actually using my money from current challenge to buy them so they are effectively coming free and will count when I sell them in spring. I'm wondering if it might be worth buying the gift sets and then trying to sell them on ebay (might add a guarantee posting date to listing)- could be too late for xmas and then there will be no interest in them  will have to think on that. Could buy them after xmas when cheap to sell at carboot sales - aim for boxed sets which aren't covered in xmassy stuff - should sell well. MMMMmmm something to think about. Still have 5 of the Mail £5 off £20 spend in purse and they are valid till 24th and plenty of H&B vouchers which are valid till 24th. I can see good old splurge on H&B bits to stockpile for spring coming on :rotfl:
OOps I have gone on a bit - sorry. Thinking out loud:D
