  • I am in!

I am trying to pay off my debts and then save a bit of money to do my flat up, so I got really fixated on money matters.

MB, Quidco, ebay, Amazon, money from nothing challenges are a sort of therapy for me:D now days.

I am sure people at my office think that I have some sort of disorder/ obsession with money going on. On the other hand my Scottish mate is in total unison with me. He regularly gives me his travel cards if he is not town to use them himself. Bless him...

Thanks Jpet your comments have made me feel so good.

I'm not so sure about the last comment though as some of my 'money from nothing' has come from extra free books I have picked up - now I'm only picking them up because of the challenge I wouldn't have had them otherwise as I have more than enough in my garage - so does this count? I am only counting those Amazon sales since I started challenge so I know they are free books does this make sense???

  • How did you make it to the target from nothing annie? Could you do some sort of bullet point post?

  • Wow Annie - congrats!

I am def up for some sort of challenge in the new year but 3k is too much for me with full time job and Brighton being expensive (ie - no bargains!).

Congrats and when you have time and are feeling better would be great to read your tips, hints and recap of what helped you get to your target.

  • I have still got 2 weeks to go before my finishing date. How is everyone else doing? I feel inspired by Annie now that I know the target really is possible. In fact I an going to get on ebay right away and list my tesco extra points vouchers that I know I won't use. After all...every little helps!

    Woooohoooooo!!! Congrats Annie - well done!!! :T :T :T

I only popped in to see how you're doing....the Christmas rush has taken off and I'm manically busy - 17 orders in since last night so no time for challenge now, although doing a mystery shop today.

Will join in from 6th Jan...count me in!!

    Good luck all x

How about making money for the challenge, from the Tabasco Odeon tickets? As they work out at £2.58 each you could apply for them and then sell them when they arrive for £5 each BIN on E-bay (if you don't want them that is)?

SO... don't forget to grab Tabasco sauce in the supermarkets - the last date for you to get the tokens to them is 31st December - bottles are £1.29 each and if you buy two and cut out each coupon (£2.58) you can send off for a FREE Odeon cinema voucher - a massive saving of £3.92 per ticket. :T

I have got 6 Odeon tickets to claim so far (bought 12 bottles) and enough Tabasco to last years - in fact I checked and the bottles only expire in 2011 :D:D:D

    6 Odeon tickets = £39 at normal price @ £6.50 each
    6 Odeon promo tickets = £15.48 @ £2.58 each

Saved £23.52 so far on 6 tickets!

As it is one per household, you will need to harrass any friends and family that you can so you can use their address.

Start 2007 in style by reducing your cinema budget by two thirds!

EDIT > Sainsburys are doing the Tabasco bottles much cheaper - £1.16 I think! So I got another 10 at lunch :D:D:D
