Christmasshopper wrote:Ben I am way behind target and can't see anyway of catching up before my 11 weeks ends at Christmas. But when I started the challenge, it was with the intention of raising money so that I could change my car for a newer one. I am going to carry on until I reach my target.
As you have already mentioned, there may be the odd unwanted gift or sale bargain after Christmas. So why don't we just extend this challenge? "We could be millionaires by next Christmas Rodney"- I mean Ben.:DDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
Back to the current challenge, three charity shops were open in Kings Heath today, found absolutely nothing in them
My Men Behaving Badly DVDS wich were £8 for the lot are making a profit, which is good,
and found 3p today.
Will be able to update my total by 7.50pm (is that too late for the total to go on this weeks chart?)Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

i missed out on a £60 earner this morning because i overslept by 5 minutes
it was an ebay auction where the seller was selling two of an item but the description was very unclear so actually sold for less than what one would normally sell for. i am soooo p-ed off with myself for it... i should have just bid on it last night when i saw it instead of waiting 'til the endA Monkey is for life, not just for Xmas!
In a bad mood? Do a Google Image Search for baby penguins0 -

I'm another lurker ... I've been popping in and out over the last few weeks to see how you are all doing. I have already decided on a challenge for me for next year - I'm aiming to make $200 (sorry no pound sign!) a month to go towards mortgage overpayments. I'll be doing ebay, mystery shopping, r&r's etc. My quetion is can I join in here with my updates or would it be easier to have a new thread as its a bit different to your challenge? I won't be offended by the way if you think its best if I have a separate threadMortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £9470 -

Join in benbenandme if your total is all from money for nothing.
On a different note, I just lost £25 on matched betting through a mistake!
...But I am not going to let this upset me. No, no, NO!
instead, I will continue with the challenge till I get this £1024, even if (actually there is no 'if' ) it takes more than 2 weeks to Christmas to do it.
Carry on, peeps:j0 -
freebird65 wrote:From what little research I did, any gold but obviously the more gold content, the better i.e. 24ct rather than 9 ct.....I think just make sure you get as much info into the title. I don't think 925 is a gold measurement - it's silver isn't it? Maybe it was gold plated.
Apparently there's plenty of cheap gold jewellery to be had at boot sales and fairs, just make sure you get the hallmarked stuff.
925 is a measure of puirty -ie how close to 24 karat it is. 375 is the only one i know for definite - 9 karat gold - i THINK 925 is 18 karat
numer is a percenatge - 375 = 37.5% 925=92.5%No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
