I didn't sign up for this when it first started as I was too busy but occasionally read the thread and it inspired me to try and make some cash from nothing.
I started at the end of October and have done a bit of overtime at work, EBaying, matched betting, surveys, mystery shopping, focus groups, as well as offers on RPoints/Quidco/Pigsback etc.
I've just finally got round to checking all my figures and my total since October 23rd is £1738.99! (and only about £500 of that is overtime so over £1200 is from internet related 'stuff' that I've found out about on sites like this!)
Thanks so much to the OP for the inspiration to get off my bum and do this - I am totally knackered now :rotfl: but it's really helped my finances and had left enough for a couple of little treats  I'll definitely be up for another push at this in January.0 -

freebird65 wrote:Also, does anyone have any really old gold jewellery they don't want anymore? Gold is fetching incredible prices right now - even on ebay. I sold a sovereign an ex tenant had left behind years ago for £72 - and that was about 9 months ago!!
What sort of gold? I have a little gold bracelet with a 925 stamped on the backle and it did not sell on ebay (£5)
Thanks.0 -

Well, the result of all this extra work meant I ended up stuck at home, tired and rundown, with a nasty cold and a chest infection last weekend. However, even illness can be profitable as you can still do matched betting in your pyjamas. :rotfl:

I would love to go head to head with you in the New Year Annie. It would be an honour with your success on this thread. We could do first to 3k? I know that my debt will increase to at least that much once I've bought the rest of the Xmas pressies.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0

I would love to do it again in the new year... bring it on! For now tomorrow is my last day so whatever my auctions end at, that's it... 2 peeps watching Ernie (that's what we call him) the Elephant piggy bank and now 8 watching Microsoft Office 2000 - could get me to my £300 barrier!MFW #185

£3k on pressies! thats not very mse!! I've been very frugal this year and have managed to spend alot less than I would normally by using coupons in Tesco.
Ok your on for the head to head. £3k is alot of money to raise and may take a while but hey I'm up for it. Will have to put our heads together in new year and come up with some creative moneysaving/moneymaking ideas.
I look forward to setting a date
Have PM'd you.0
