Sorry no I didn't mean 3k on Xmas pressies - I meant a head to head challenge to see who could get up to 3k first. Do you think that's too high an amount to aim for?

Annie and I have decided to go head to head starting 6th Jan on a 3k challenge. We will be aiming to clear 500 pounds a month with the final 3k being reached on 1st July 2007. If any one wants to join us we will post a monthly update. Sorry that it starts before the 11th finallydebtfree but I'm eager to start ASAP and batter my debt to 0. It was so satisfying ringing Egg to tell them that I wanted to close my card account with them earlier this week and I want that adrenalin rush again as soon as I can get it!! Luv Jxx

  • never mind! its a great feeling cancelling the card isnt it? I cancelled my mint card a month or so ago, it feels good when they ask why you want to cancel it and you tell them I no longer need the credit

    Hi guys,

I've not "officially" joined in but this thread has inspired me to look at Quidco/Pigsback etc and I think I've made about £100 from nothing, without a great deal of effort either, so not bad going.

I'd love to do the challange properly in the new year though...just wondering if there will be any good bargins in the Jan Sales to buy for ebaying later in the challange, when the sales are over. If Tesco/Asda have any good things in the sale, and I can use a few coupons I'll be laughing.

Good luck to you all with the rest of this challange...making £1000 from nothing is certainly somthing to be proud of...for me £1000 is a month's pay, so if I can do this challange, maybe ever a couple of times during the next year, I shall be very happy indeed.

Wonder if anyone can advise on somthing...I mentioned to my mum about the challange, and she gave me a few bits for ebaying, and also a bag of foreign money. There are a load of random coins that I am going to stick in one of those charity boxes, but also a 5 Euro note. I think it's worth about £3 but where's the best place to change it? Post Office maybe?
