  • do you guys withdraw your money from paypal each time you sell? or do you kind of lend yourself the money to get onto the next step?
the money from my items this weekend comes to £9.95 which will drop to £9.70 if I withdraw it, obviously the money wont go into my account straight away, so I will have to use my own money to post the items out anyway
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • dont want paypal to get even more of my money in the process of this challenge, they get enough already! although ready the above posts maybe I should just offer payment by cheque/postal order, although I know as a buyer this puts me off

    Mmm, got me thinking now...

If I sold a book on Amazon for £6.25, they give me £2.75 for postage... take fees and VAT of £2.41, I'm left with £6.57... do I then have to take my postage off that £6.57??? I guess I do don't I?

Luckily I can get away with posting some things from work so sometimes it's free, but I'm confusing myself now! :s
  • ive taken off everything and it soon mounts up, ebay listing fees, fees for the item once its sold, paypal fees and postage!

thats why I gave up selling low priced items in the past, for example I sold a hardback book once and it sold a 99p + postage, by the time I took off all of the above I was left with around 16p!!!!!

Haha! Ok so I need to remember to take off any postage too... let's hope my work postman is in a good mood over the next 11 weeks! :D
  • he will be wondering why his workload has suddenly increased! :)

used to buy loads off ebay but was always at work when the parcels were delivered, the postman always started out filling the "sorry you missed us" or whatever it says before he even got to the door, was shocked one day when I was actually in, he had already half filled the form!
