  • I would start the process for non payment, was there an underbidder for a second chance offer?
I think you have been quite patient, may be on future auctions list a seven day or ten day time limit for receiving payment.
    Hopefully she will pay!
  • Yes, I'd start non payment process too. I had one non payer this time, item was a computer table to pick up from Cheshire. He was a newbie living in London. He's not going to pay is he?! I've emailed him every day but can't pursue non payment till Sunday. It is annoying but it's happened to me a few times now so nothing new!
    Hopefully she will pay...

  • hi.. eagerlearner....i allwas put a little note at the bottom of my listings....saying payment with 7 days...otherwsie will be reproted to ebay, and negative feedback left....this way i feel it covers you.. and the bidder knows.. what will ahppen if no payment is made...
your ebayer sounds a bit suss to me.. lets face it. if you sent out postal orders... and they got lost..would you send another lot out... i dont think so... you can claim after 14 days.. even if she havent got proof of postage.. she will have the recipt or subs for the postal orders.. so they can be cancelled....
maybe she's got a financial blip... and does not want to say....might be worth going to second chance offer... and reprot to ebay.... you can report a non-payer on the 8th day after the listing ended... maybe the email form ebay will jolt them into paying...

i must admit this challenge is getting too confusing for me now.. as i buy in charity shopsetc a few times a week... i dont know what items i want to list for he challenge....

  • What have been the best selling items for anyone, My little one is joining me on the challenge, I think we will save up for a holiday! It will be lovely to have a few days thinking whatever we do is 'free'! We don't know really what to invest our £28 in. I got a few bits and pieces to ebay and the little one is sorting out toys! Bless!

    Yooohooo all!

Eagerlearner - 'fraid it's time to start the NPB process - that'll shock them into paying or not and if not you'll at least get your FVF back. I once had a 400+ 100% person not pay so you never know really. Hope they suddenly pay!!

I'm investing my money in matched betting at the moment but it takes up too much time. It's coming into the busiest time of year for me and I badly need a good Christmas or my business is stuffed. I may have to abandon the challenge till the New Year but really want to carry on with it.

Well done for adding the condition note - you should get dealer interest now!! :D
  • Freebird65, just stick it out as long as you can- and don't despair! Even if you can't carry on just look at how well you have done so far. Chin up! and Good Luck, whatever you decide.
I just came on to share my news! I'm sooooooo excited- just got £30 in post from 2 of BF's old phones I recycled. Plus have worked out last weeks ebay profit...I am well pleased! Still have one non payer, and still one item waiting for cheque to clear so haven't added them in yet. 3 items on ebay at the mo due to end Sun- up to £21.99...fingers crossed for a bit more.
I need to get into matched betting but haven't a clue where to start so I'm waiting for my friend and her bf to come round one day and we are going to try and crack it all together.

  • Thansk everyone - I am going to see if she replies to my message from yesterday, then Monday I will start the non-payment process as I did say she had til Monday 5pm. So frustrating, I hate being lied to and have never had problems on E-Bay. Will add the one liner to future auctions!

    .

Oh it's going great and I'm not disheartened in any way - there just aren't enough hours in the day. I have lots of customers/friends asking about my website but I can't seem to get it up and running because I keep merrily playing around on MSE. Wouldn't it be fab to be able to do that full-time???
The challenge will definitely carry on as I have set myself goals. I just may struggle to find time.

Have asked OH and others for old phones and offered a profit split as incentive to hand them over.....fingers crossed :D Thanks for that idea.
  • i'm the same as you freebird65.....i'm finding it hard, as i am trying to sort things out etc...as i am hopeing to turn my hobby into a business..... so at mo....trying to organise things...etc......i am finding it hard when i am charity shopping for stuff... to say that is for that challenge...etc... as i buy stuff which might not be put onto ebay until the spring....etc.....

plus i am trying to find out how to set up my own website.....as i am not good at these types things.... its going to take me longer to sort things out.... as it will prob cost me a small fortune to pay someone to do it for me..and maintain it....

but one thing that has really made me a winner with this challenge, its really kicked me up the butt, and list more things on ebay, and made me decide for def... about turning my hobby into a small business.:T
