The discussion about this idea so far has assumed that you are trying to sell these kits to adults to make into toys for kids for Christmas. I think you should give some more thought to your target market - adults would probably buy the kits as Xmas pressies for their kids, so that they can knit their own soft toys :D Of course, I'm not sure whether I'm right about this, but it's another avenue which is worth a try! (If you do try to market them towards kids, make sure they are very attractively packaged, with a brightly coloured piccy of what they are aiming to make included in the packaging. You could do this on your computer, couldn't you?)

toy knitting needles you know the type
wind the bobbin up things what ever they are called also
you know the type knit a snake but not much else i hated my neighbour when i was a kid cos she had one and i didnt

    crochet needles too

with a simple pattern for anything with wool

same for embroidery type sets i suppose too

good luck give it a go

lets wait for an abundence of hand made knitted toys on ebay just after xmas lol...and news of a self made millionaire too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i told you i don't need that new LCD TV! but if you wont take no for an answer...

Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO
  • its nothing as exciting as a HD ready db tv with all the gubbins

its a navitity set which is quite modern looking (can't find a picture of it online), not bothering with any other decs this year so would be willing to spend upto around £30 but have a nasty feeling it will be more

Maybe you're already doing this, but could you get your mum to sign the books? People might pay a little bit more for a signed copy if it's a gift, especially if you could get your mum to include the buyer's name.

Thanks AndyR - as she's over there I just think the books wouldn't arrive in time... she'd probably call me cheeky too as she's already given me several free copies to sell and keep the money... I can give it a go though :D ! Looks like Cliff Richard fans are buying it too as it has a chapter on him - now have just 6 copies left - who-hoo!
