WTG with the charity shop bargain hunting. I'm going to check the local ones out in the week.

I've been playing free Bingo and managed to make £50 in one day! That is £20 of winnings from the stv.tv site using the free £5 credit and £30 from quidco for signing up to bingos.com.

The bingos site is ok - there is the quidco bonus and then if you deposit £10 you get an extra £10 & you can easily win bonuses in the chat rooms. I was quite skeptical at first but if an eejit like me can get it, anyone can.

Thanks for the tip BangraMonkey :D

  • The good people of Birmingham don't seem to donate the branded dresses (or at least in the areas i looked at)

got two cds, a book which was 20p which isn't too bad

I got a g-plan coffee table for a tenner in the PDSA shop (one the same design as 150045214789) so should double my money.

The Sony Camcorder tapes sold today for a tenner (only paid 3.98 for them so thats a fiver profit)

Will update my signature tomorrow when the stuff on ebay ends tomorrow

I want to come shopping with you please Mr Adams! My search today was not that hopeful. The Cancer Research shop here was selling Rough Guides for £2.99 each and even though I could sell them on easily there's no way I'd make money on that. I kept my eyes open for software CDs but nothing going. Clothes were all overpriced and bric-a-brac was no bargain. I do have high hopes for my L'Occitane travel bag (£2 from Cancer Research) as I know that brand usually sells pretty well. I also raided Tesco's £1 an item + BOGOF today so will see how these items go :D

  • i got strange looks from the bus drivers when i took the table on-board!

charity shops are very hit and miss though

Maybe Monday is the best day to look as most people will donate on a Saturday (but thats not possible for a lot of us)

On another topic how is Rod Stewart a sex-symbol, and i can't take him serious since they took the mike out of him in a South Park episode!

    Hi

I had a look at your items... my only two comments would be

    1. I use gallery picture (15p)
    2. when I take a picture of a dress, etc, I put it against white background (a door, a wall, etc.

    Best of luck!

    ;)

Thank-you very much for your advice - I'll definately use a white background with my next pictures, (why didn't I think of that! doh!), and will look into gallery pictures as don't really know what the difference is (another doh!).

    Thank-you! :T

Never in a million years would I have thoughyt of selling vouchers or coupons till I read this - OK I'm in too!

Currently I have £1.60 coming from Pampers vouchers (£8 worth, hope will go up). Also £4.20 for £5 love2shop voucher. Will shortly be listing some other coupons. All those I got free, so that's fine. OK, some questions now:

I have Alexon and Debenham vouchers I got for returning items - presumably I can't 'claim' these?

I know I can use my profit to buy more stuff to sell. The question is - can I buy it from myself???? I had already bought a load of clothes @ 10p from a charity shop, haven't listed yet. Can I use my profits, if so who do I pay? (Can I pay Peefer my mortgage pig???? )

Can I include quidco if I got it by spending someone else's money?????

    ooohhh this is sooooo complicated!!!!:p
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I buy books and a gallery photo doesn't make any difference whether I look at the listing or not, as long as there is a piccie in the listing.

But for clothes I do like to see a gallery photo.

  • what is the best way to photograph furniture (i.e. my coffee table) as i've never had to do it before?

i will be sticking a gallery picture in as it could bring me extra sales so the extra fee will be an investment, (although i don't think whoever buys it will be willing to pay an adminstration fee aka my ebay fees)
