How to turn £6 into a whole lot more?

My daughter and her classmates have been given £2 each by their school and have to increase it by as much as possible (she's in the sixth form and it's to raise money for charity). She has joined together with two other girls so they have £6 to play with. The money has to be raised within school, ie from the 1100 girl pupils and teachers. They are not allowed to give sweets as prizes.
Projects already tried by other groups include: guess the teacher from their baby photo; bake sale; treasure hunt; sponsored hair dyeing/braiding.
Anyone done anything like this before and can give us some ideas?
She has until half-term to complete the project.
Thanks folks

depending upon the school rules what about mini manicures? could be done at lunch or break and low start up costs, also what about personalised t shirts, you know the sort where you transfer a photo or drawing onto a t shirt (iron on ) . Sorry if these aren't any good I'll go and think of more, just thought, healthy fruit kebabs to be sold at break?0

what about a promise auction. i.e auction themselves to manicure, homework helper. litter duty. dinner monitor etcGive blood - its free0

are any of them arty, or is there someone arty they could 'recruit'?
one of my school pals was extremely talented at a japanese form of drawing called manga, and his work had a cult status within the school. he started off small, doing characatures of people within our group as presents, and word of his talent got round and the orders started flooding in.
his most famous work was a scene he drew of the cast of harry potter, which was bought by about half the school  he talked of sending jk rowling a copy, but i dont know if he ever did.
perhaps this could be worth investigating?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
What about a tombola? Get some really cheap things that girls would like - try car boots to pick up toiletries (got a load of stuff for 20p each recently), and then buy the raffle tickets, and you should have a good return.........
Or why not do a sponsored car wash - buy the kit with the £6 and charge the staff a fiver a time to have their cars washed.
What about a typing service if they don't mind this - charge other kids to do the typing of their assignments for them? Only out lay here would be some disks....
Personally though, I would go for the baking - works a treat every time!0 -
Also, what about hand made jewellery??? If you have a local craft place, the fixings for earings and beads can be bought ridiculously cheap, also the black thongs for necklaces......sell then for a good makr up without the other kids getting ripped off either....0

What about badges? Perhaps they're not fashionable now, but when I was at school we used to shrink crisp packets, make little bits of knitting with wool and some cocktail sticks and so on, then stick safety pins on the back and use as badges?
Depending on health and safety rules, selling HM warm soup at break time might generate quite a good return?
Just a couple of thoughts.
Hope she does well...an Alan Sugar in the making eh?0 -

providing an ironing service for staff- charge per item....
What about having a pie and pea supper and line dance - should be able to make a few pies for £6, and stick some hill billy rock on the ol' CD player
If any of them are really arty - how about doing portraits/characatures - for a few quid each??0
