Morning Aprilshower, you are doing brilliantly!
I still have not put my heating on yet, except wthe other day when i needed to dry the uniforms quickly as I don't have a tumble any more. The kids have complained a little of being cold, but thats only as they still want to wear shorts and t'shirts all the time :D

Have you done a SAO yet ?, I did'nt think I really needed to, but took the plunge and did it yesterday, and it does tend to make you have a second look at what you are paying out, other MFW's may pick up on ways to save that you might have missed as well.

I think the more time you spend the more obsessed you get with becoming MF! this is a great place to talk about it as most people in the real world are not that interested in being MF.
    MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁
  • Hi Everybody

Thank you so much for your comments. I am going to do a SAO but I seem to be a little busy at the minute with other things.

My first priority is sorting all the junk out of the house including the left ( I wont be seen again) and either taking it to the charity shop, putting it on ebay, find somewhere to sell it and doing a car boot sale if weather is ok.

When I have done this I will sit down and do a SAO to see were we can make more savings. I am getting in the swing of things and I do know what you mean when you say you thing about what you are spending alot more.

When the house is decluttered I will have room for a storage cupboard and I aim to stock this up with special offers in the supermarkets as I really do think you can save alot of money by doing this.

Also need to look at Christmas presents oh no. But I have purchased alot of stuff in the sales and though glitchs on this site so I am hoping I will not have to buy that much. So I need to do a list and have a look in the loft and match the items to people. The kids will like doing that.

Any way once again thank you and will keep moving forward.

    Well done so far AS!

Not sure I have copied it properly but wanted to ask what you guys think re Newgirly's note

"I think the more time you spend the more obsessed you get with becoming MF! this is a great place to talk about it as most people in the real world are not that interested in being MF."

I completely agree with her...we're waiting to exchange on our first house & I can't wait but the mortgage is scary (£195k) & OH simply isn't interested in what I've told him about what I've read here on MSE. So OK we're not even in the house yet but I want to save money already so that I can start making OPs ASAP after we move in. Does anyone have similar probs with OH? How do you go about persuading them of the benefits / persuading them that you are not turning into a killjoy?!?!

    Hi Everybody

Well the car boot sale I was going to go to this morning was cancelled as it has rained all week and the field was so we. Never mind a friend has told me about one that is under cover and it is only about 10 minutes away from home. So I may do that one next week.

Put another load of stuff on ebay last last and have another box to do today. I must stay the house is staying tidy with all the clutter being moved. So that is another positive.

Yesterday I done my christmas list which came to 38 people. But I went into the loft and match items I had in the loft to all the poeple on the loft, which is just fantastic. My son wants an ipod touch which I have purchased and got him some lego items in argos when on three for two so I am not buying him much more this year as he really doesnt need anything and the lego came to £98 so spent £250 on him which I think is enough.

For my daughter I have won a few things that sho would love and she wants some money as she is saving for a car. So she is sorted as I will give him £200 with the other items.

Hubby wants a new xbox so I have told him I am not getting anything else just the xbox this year, so he had a face as no surprises. What a baby.

When I have finished with this I will be moving onto the shopping, bulk cooking and taking alot of tips from the old style forum.

    Take care

I think that the amount listed onthe site must have gone down and this is the reason for two free listings weekends in one month.

I hope this continues and they keep having them over the next month or two. Put another 15 items on this weekend so will see what happens. One of the items has a bid on already so looking good.

    Morning AS,
I managed £31 from last week's ebay sales that completed yesterday (all clothes that don't fit anymore), have another 14 bits on for completing next Sunday (yey). How did you get on?
    Have a fab week
