  • Hi Emma, that's quite a cheque for a friday morning! You're right though, that's a really good price for new heating :)

This weekend my friends and their kids are coming over on saturday evening for a few hours. Her little boy is really into juggling and poi and she told him about me (I do fire poi) so he's looking forward to seeing me do some fire poi on saturday night. The rest of my weekend will be taken up with ebay listing as it's free listing weekend - hurrah!
oh wow!. that would be an amazing thing to see. My youngest would be your friend for life if he saw you do that (although he would probably try and copy.)

Free listing weekend on ebay you say?
mmm I do have some All Saints tops and a few other bits to sell. It could mean that next week is a bit of a buyers market though, so not sure if it is a good time - do you find that the free listing weekends saturate the market or is it so big that it doesn't make a difference?

  • I put my to do list on the Small DFW thread this morning like I used to years ago (I had forgotten about it, thanks Fay :) )
Good morning and happy Friday everyone.

Have high hopes for getting things done today as it would be lovely to have a quiet weekend with my oh

    • Work: Newsletter to sign off, homepage for next week to sort
    • See if I can fill in DLA form online - nearly there with it! - notes are all written so either fill it in online today or paper form over weekend
    • Decide what party bag theme to go for and put operation 'cheap but cool' into action with sourcing contents
    • Pop to postbox with expenses claim and cheque for new central heating (is all about balance.. in with one hand, out with another:rotfl:)
    • 3 loads of washing to sort and get put away
    • Pack for the boys going to their dad's for the weekend

and when we drop them off:
    • If this weather holds finally pick up my motorbike from its' MOT - has been there nearly 3 weeks - oooops
    • Tiny top up shop of those things I forgot earlier in the week

Aim to collect a binbag of rubbish from around the house and walk the dog too.

Hope everyone has a great day :) x

Just sold an old course book from my degree course on Amazon, so have that to parcel up and need to go to post office, not postbox now.

Well getting there I think. My new Credit card (for new van - I'll call it my Ivy card) arrived so I will be able to access it online now I hope to set up my repayments. I had 5k appear in my bank a couple of days ago, so I can only assume they wanted to do a balance transfer :)

Managed to get to the post office. I brought the wrong lead for the dog so I couldnt tie her up outside. The postmistress let me take her inside but I felt a bit wrong and disapproved of (even though her dog is often in there. In future I'll have to leave her behind when I pop to postoffice. We did run there and back, which nearly gave me a heart attack and put my lungs in shock, but it is all good for me I am sure :)

Floors hoovered and mopped, hair washed, newsletter and homepage done, made a start on next weeks' work because it is a short week for me.

Really must go sort the clothes else the boys will have nothgn to take to their dad's. I might chicken out of getting my bike as it is really cold and windy now and I am a bit of a wimpy scardeycat.

We just got a booking for the end of October, which is fantastic. They want the only van without a heater, so I have ordered one (£400!!!).. It will be worth it though as it will transform her and I can really push autumn/spring cosy holidays then. they are filled with exciting seas, northern lights, funky clouds and shooting stars, so I am sure folks would want to come and visit if they could stay in cosy vans with plenty of toastie blankets and hot chocolate on tap.. :)

  • Afternoon

Thought I would catch up on what you have been up to this Friday ... and then I get hit by the lovely description of autumn holidays in cosy vans with toastie blankets and hot chocolate! Could be worse ways to lose a few minutes than being virtually transported :D
  • haha! thanks Butafli :)
Now, I just need to get that magic to work on potential customers and I could turn this into a proper job :)

Hope you have had a good Friday x

(went and did my ironing.. wehay!.. now I just need to pack for the lads and put the the remainers away..)

  • Good morning everyone. It is a lovely Saturday here, hope it is the same where you are.

I have just bought tickets to see Newton Faulkner when he is up here in November :j

Today is a day of popping to town with recyling and charity shop stuff, plus a root around the shops and maybe even sneaking somewhere for a coffee.
We'll get my bike today and then maybe see if I am brave enough to go for a ride out too.

I have found really cheap party box paraphernalia in Woolies, so I will probably come online later and order that today.

    have a good Saturday everyone!

  • What a lovely Sunday it is today :)

Has been productive so far, even crammig in a lovely lie in with dh, cups of tea, biccies and the puppy trying to bury her bone in the bed, followed by a bit of the grand prix whilst we had some brunch.

I drove our new van for the first time and she is as lovely as Poppy to drive, even though she is a left hand drive. She is going to be such an ace van :)

We took all three vans into the back field and they had a model's photo shoot. All three are photogenic and posed very well, although Poppy was showing a little too much leg at times (shameless hussy). I'll get them uploaded to our facebook page and website this week sometime. I need to write lots of bumf for the new van and give her her own special page soon too.

Managed to get out on the bikes yesterday afternoon.. I get so scared, which is silly, but as soon as I relax into it I love it. We need to deliver my son's phone charger in a wee bit so is a good excuse to get out again. I only have until next autumn to take my proper full test, so I really need to get experience else I would have wasted my theory test and cbt...

Half of DLA form done yesterday, so will do the other half today.. It will be such a big achievement to get it into the post,

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Is very quiet in here, so I'll take that as a good thing :)

wow, you are always so industrious in the garden. I'm v impressed :)

We nearly took the vans down to see you when we were looking for photo opportunities overlooking Hoy - decided 2 people driving three vans was going to be a hassle though and the back field rendered lovely views of the back of the hill anyway.

Hope you had a lovely beach walk and well done on your garden. x
