Thanks! I have ordered the fleece and it is the exact size I needed! :j :money:  :T
The fleece arrived and it is almost the perfect size but needs cut a little. Mum is going to do attach it to the blanket today and then perhaps I will get a photo of the finished product posted on here! :j0 -

Please, to all the young mums in here, please dont overdo things re not using the heating. If its wet or foggy you need heating - one room is fine, one room is enough. But if your kids come home to a cold unheated house after being out in damp weather then they WILL get chesty and ill. Heat the living room only - thats fine. And maybe even just until they have a nice hot bath, then they can snuggle up with jammies/fleeces etc.0

yes, when i was after a body pillow the bloke in lidl said they always start putting stuff out the night before at around 7.30pm, ask in yours next time your in0

I just bought flannelette sheets from Littlewoods - they are not the cheapest by any means but they do 2 for 1 - quite confusing, because you only order one and it comes as a double pack (I ordered 2 the first time thinking it was a BOGOF and ended up with 4). As you're getting 2 for the money it works out not bad at all - plus, of course, you can pay it at so much per week interest free. You're looking for the buy one set, get an identical set free offer. And they are what my husband calls super-moelleux - meaning you sink into them like marshmallow!
I've always bought mine from there (it's practically the only thing I ever buy from there!) and they are not at all bad.
ChocClare THANKS! I received mine at the weekend and they are really nice although I do not have them on the bed yet! I ordered the ones with the lace on them and they are really nice looking. :j I was saying to Mum about your recommendation and she said "If they said it on Martins site then they must be good" and she sat down at the computer with me at her house when I was viewing the range of flannelette sheets on offer. She noticed falnnelette duvet cover so we ordered one to see what it would be like and I was surprised that it is really nice looking. Now I have flat sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases and a duvet cover! :money: THANKS for your help ChocClare! :T0 -

Hi all, newbie here.
Absolutely love this thread and has motivated me loads:T
I am now well prepared for the winter!
Have done:
Door curtain- my lovely mother got me a brand new lined one from car boot for 50p!
Lined curtains
Candles-2 for £3 for tealights in Asd*
Hot water bottles-£1.99 each from B&M
Salt-bought 3kg
Wellies-all bought
Bubble wrap-rabbit & guinea pig will now be cosy
Cat bed-cat won't come in the house so made him one from an old wash basket turned on its side and put a catbed inside & draped a fleece over the top
Clothes horse-bought, no more tumble dryer
New duvets-very cheap in Asd*, old ones will go under bottom sheets
Loft hatch-tacked a fleece blanket folded into 4 over it
Medicines-all stocked up
Food-all stocked up, took advantage of the £2 packs of pasta from t*sco when the were on sale
Also have nearly finished my xmas prezzie shopping so I won't have to trek into town in the cold weather much.:j0 -
I'M SO COLD!
It's 14C in my room, I'm wrapped in a duvet researching ways to keep warm this winter!
Going to buy some more thermals, a flannelette sheet and looking for a big thick snuggie! And a tea pot, hopefully I can get a cheap second hand one so I don't have to move to get a cuppa!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
