Ooooo brilliant - I was bored anyway :)
  • Right got the thermals bought for my loved one, who moaned about the colour. Honestly men!
    Got some spare matches.
Put all my torches in one place so no thinking ooh where are they.
What salt is best to clear a path - ordinary salt? From memory Asda sell salt quite cheap. Will then need to think about where to store it.

    Need to:
do all the stuff on my sig... especially the curtains now the darker mornings are upon us. brrrr! keep warm.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I was told a mixture of rock salt and sand is what the 'gritters' use on the roads. I can get the sand at the local hardware, but where do I get rock salt from? I've seen it in MrT but it's for cooking, in a tiny quantity and costs a mint.

those honchos look fab! what size would i need do you think, im 12/14, i was thinking med. thanks for the link.

Not sure whether you mean the poncho or the trousers, probably poncho?

Mine is a medium, and if buying now I would probably get a small - there is a bit too much loose material when trying to do stuff - cooking etc (I am size 12 ish but short).

I think as large is the biggest size they do, that it is suitable for really tall thick-set men, so medium for more average/slimmer men/tall women etc. The kids ones seem to be same size hood but shorter cut. So I think small may be ok for you.

For trousers, I have small and they are perfect (as said I have short legs and ahem, 'child-bearing hips') (too much information lol) :rotfl:

I'd like to know too. Any secret gritters out there who know?:)

Dishwasher salt is bigger grained so good for paths esp when mixed with sharp sand :)

Are their sizes small fitting or big fitting?

I am a size 14 on top and bought the 14-16 which fitted me fine for the top.

    Hope this helps.

AND they did this with NO COATS :eek::eek::eek::eek: Apparently coats were 'uncool'

Apparently coats are still 'uncool'. My children wore coats at junior school, but don't for high school - no matter what the weather you see all the school children waiting for the bus in their blazers!

All I know is I cant bear sitting on a cold toilet seat for much longer! The heating is going to have to come on soon !!

My DH and I housesat for a couple years ago and they had a fluffy toilet seat cover! I took it off while we were there - it just didn't seem at all hygienic!
