  • Oh crikey, look I don't post on here often, and now there's 3 posts in a row! Apologies!

Anyway, can anyone recommend a nice largeish fleecy blanket (maybe the size of a 'double' duvet'). Getting a bit chilly and need to get one for the lounge, for when we're watching TV. Don't really want to have to keep dragging the duvet downstairs.

Finally got my front door curtain up today :D It makes the hallway look much nicer and will hold a bit of heat in as its lined.

Also, I have treated myself to a real rabbit fur coat from fleabay :D It was an absolute bargain - I cannot believe more people weren't bidding for it! My friend has one and when I saw it last winter, I knew I had to have one too... Just hope I don't get paint thrown over me! Do people still do that?

Has anyone else here got a real fur coat?

    *Waves to fellow Kentish person!*

Just out of interest what is the difference between a Kentish man (or woman) and a man (or woman) of Kent?
  • Hmm I always assumed it was the same thing :) If you're from Kent, you're Kentish, a bit like Cornish, except we don't make pasties as well :)

Who needs pasties? They make some very good beer in Kent :D

I'm Kent born and bred too - tho now live in the midlands.

It depends whether you are from east kent or west Kent, the divide is roughly the line of the river medway. I am a Maid of Kent as i am from the Isle of Sheppey which is east of the medway. Kentish men (maids) are from the west.

My late mum had two beever coats and they are realy nice. I have never got rid of them because in some respect they would probably be destroyed and I often think you should do justice to the animal. I think she got them in the 1950's. Anyway back to question, I have worn them and no one has ever questioned me. I think that it can be a hit and miss affair to tell whether it is real or not, it would need to be someone who had a keen eagle eye to see if it was real. I was in Primarni today and they had allot of coats in with faux fur everywhere so I wouldn't worry. If someone did question just say oh no it's fake - but it's good don't you think!

The Range , if you have one near do good big fleeces as do Sainso's home bits - but they are easily availale on ebay and Amazon I believe - I typed in furry fleece blanket to get the ones with the nicer texture Hope you find one quick , dragging a duvet up and downstairs is not just a drag (omg sorry -wit has deserted) it can be DANGEROUS so please take care.

I saw a lovely large fleece blanket (at least double bed size) in Primark. I forget how much - somewhere between €10-€20 I think. It was nice and thick too. More like a fluffy blanket as someone said than a thin fleece throw. I really want one but can't justify it as I have LOTS of fleecey things now!

I also saw they had their own version of those blankets with arms too in case anyone is interested - I never fancied them, would probably trip and thought I would have a cold back!
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
