Yes the Aldi thermal undies - bought a 'large' set of ladies and if that's large then I am truly a camel with a large hump! Back they go - possibly to swap for a set mens large or extra large!!!
DD found my stores in the shed after our big shop and was actually very positive about it - I thought she would be cross because it has taken some money to get thus far. She sees the sense and I think is pleased Im being sensible.
Made a huge effort to move my bed from the cold wall and into the centre of an internal wall and also moved the big chest of drawers TO the external wall - it did seem a bit warmer this a.m. when I got up - but then it wasnt that cold last night here. Cant work out how to get the blanket up as a wall hanging at the mo and am exhausted from the furniture moving - I never used to get so tired - I wonder if its psychological or the drugs Im on or just plain age..... I am clearly getting more and more depressed HELP -someone tell me a joke quick!!!!!debt free 2021 at current DMP rate[/COLOR] (probably be in an old peoples home by then)0 -
Morning.
Managed to buy a ski suit type thing for the LO. £25 from Matalan.
Been quite productive this morning. Borrowed my mums carpet cleaner and decided to trial it in the dining room. It was hard work but the water was rank. Quite embarrassed and dreading what the livingroom carpet will produce. Quite fancy splurging on the new Bissell cleaner. pricey tho.
If anyone has a Costco membership then they have some good offers on. 440 tetley tea bags for £4.99 and 40 rolls of double velvet loo roll for £10.48. A little pricier than my usual HB stuff but ill hopefully get less strange looks when buying them. An offer on mince too.0 -
Just got back from Sainsburys and finally got (after sending staff off to check in the stock room) four bottles of the Fairy Non Bio liquid which is on for 2 for £10.00 (30 washes per bottle).
They also have the four can chicken and tomato soup (Heinz) packs on two for £4.50. Think I spotted ASDA in Bodmin with just the tomato soup four pack on £2.00 last week but didn't get any because we were already stacked up! Garage is quite full at the moCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Hope the press are just hyping things up about winter coming early although I did think yesterday how red the holly berries are for this time of year.
Today's prep was to buy a few more boxes of tissues which are on offer.
Need to get DS3 some snowboots as his don't fit
I'll ebay the ski wear, snow boots that are too small on the next free listing - hopefully the rest of the UK will start preparing for winter early too.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Ooooooh just remembered my friend is coming this evening to put up curtain rails at the front door and landing window :j:j
That should make a big difference to the warmth in the hall, stairs and landing :T0 -
Glad you mentioned curtains, just realised (and I know this is not mse) that my new ones are still waiting to be be collected having been shortened:eek:A smile costs little but creates much0
