I stocked up on lip balms.. NOT carmex as it makes our sensitive lip very very sore.. evil stuff.. DD5 suffers badly every year so she can have 1 to zip up in her coat pocket... under instruction not to share with friends!
I made a start on restocking the medicine cabinet.. calpol melts for DD5.. tixylix and day/night nurse next..
I got 36 loos rolls yesterday.. which will last about a week if I am lucky! impossible to stock up too much on such things in here!
I did stash tins of big soup for me while on offer at Tescos..
I need to sort through my socks at somepoint.. no doubt I will have 2 odd socks without holes!! AGAIN!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thanks, it is difficult to concentrate on anything right now, but I'm finding little things that need sorting. I went through my sock drawer and realised I need some new thermal socks, mine are getting to the stage of almost being see through on the heel and big toe.rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »When I split up with my ex I ended up moving to a new city - we had the same group of friends (had known each other several years before becoming "an item") and so were always running into each other. It was OK and I didn't hate him or anything, I just got to the point where I felt I had to move on and seeing him practically every weekend/night out/get together etc was stopping this.
It was great for me - a fresh start and I made new friends/found a job etc pretty quickly.
It is a big change tho - I did miss my friends "at home" but it's so much easier to keep in touch nowadays which made it a lot more bearable.
That's the trouble, I am friends with a lot of his friends and I don't want it to get awkward, so maybe a new city is a good plan. But of course, Newcastle wouldn't really be new to me as that's where my Dad's family are from. The big trouble is money and getting a job up there of course. Have been slowly reading the posts from the start!
Quick question - I am looking to put foil down the back of my radiators. Can you use normal kitchen foil and is it supposed to touch the radiator or is a gap needed for it to work correctly?
The gap down the back of our radiators is quite tight.
Thanks in advanceMFW - currently at £23,610 (Aug 2014) MFD 20200
