Hubby does thousands of miles every year and won't use anything else.

The screen wash was was £3.99 for a 1 litre bottle. It is diluting stuff and needs made up as follows:

    0c 5% screenwash to water
    -3c 10%
    -9 25%
    -24 50%
    -65 100%

So cost to use will depend on temperatures. I found it beside the anti freeze and not with the normal screen wash.

Just been reading those online news reports on the snow and terrible weather in New Zealand! To be honest this is just even more evidence to back up James Madden at Exactaweather for his forecast of the UK this winter.

Anyway, if you have not thought about it already - and beings as I am currently in food mode frame of mind having cleaned the freezer out - you might want to think about having a stock up on frozen prepacked vegetables as a standby. I recall last year that there was concern that certain veg couldn't be harvested because they couldn't get it up out the ground it was frozen solid!

It's just another thought for you to consider.

Cleared a cupboard in the sideboard during my rather early rise :j- which has been filled with the following. If anyone could have a quick look and see if I've missed anything, that would be fantastic! (there is just me!)

    Toiletries

    Loo rolls;) (24 & 18 pack)

    Tampons (1 big box)

good girl, lots of loo roll, makes me so proud *sniff* :rotfl:

since you have tampons on your list (very important if you're of a certain age ladies, don't forget!) might i also suggest that if birth control is being used that that is in place as well... long winter nights with no heat or electricity could lead to unintentional summer babies! ;)

Where is the best and cheapest place to get salt/grit for the driveway. Just noticed today our council has slapped stickers on the yellow bins asking folks to report those who use it for themselves (that'll cheer up the oldies in my street... I've seen them with their little buckets ;) )

you forgot to add the MUAHAHAHAHA at the end of that statement :rotfl:

cheap table salt will work, you can get 3kg bags from asda cheaply, dishwasher salt is very coarse and larger, better for some grip under your shoes, lidl does 2kg (i think) boxes for around 89p
