My freezer is one of those horrid little box ones on top of a fridge. not useful in the slightest so i figure a bigger freezer was in order and would be more useful to us especially so im hoping the one ive seen will be available still on freecycle,
Also have decided that if I don't manage to store it in the kitchen then I will be storing it by the back door which has a cubby hole where the dog was sleeping but it is big enough for the freezer and will run an extension lead from the kitchen because that little back porch gets quite cold in the night and the dog will be moved into the kitchen where he can be snug.Time to find me again0 -
I hope you get those items sammy-kaye0

Sammy Kaye - that a really good price for the freezer even with the hole!
We paid £25 for a table top freezer of ebay last year - so glad we got it as we had hardly any freezer spaceMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Hope you manage to get the freezer and dining room Sammy!
Went back to Focus on the way home from my parents, mainly for the gritty stuff. It's now down to 47p for 10kg :j So if anyone's passing, I'd pop in!
Also bought some brush door strips, down to £1.25 each. Double glazing film for £1.73 and some draught excluding tape for our windows (rattly little bleeders!) for £1.33. Just need a front door curtain, and that's the house sorted. Then we just need hot water bottles, new slippers, thicker jumpers for OH around the house, snow shovel and to get OH a little car kit sorted.
Thankfully we already have perfectly thick curtains, our living room would still be quite warm in the mornings until we opened them and *!!!!!!* it was freezing!! Hopefully the film will help this a little.
Also, for those in need! Asda have their hooded dressing gowns on sale for £9. I don't know if it's been mentioned.0 -

Just a thought but when I had a big freezer it was always a pain trying to get stuff out that was in the bottom so with that in mind next time I have a big freezer I will put the food in storage boxes - it may take up more room but each bow lid will be labelled with what is in it so I can then access the correct item without having to fall in the freezer!!!

Flipping cold here today.....now im wondering if any of you could help me. My house is 3 storeys high and the kitchen/diningroom are downstairs and have huge patio windows and a quarry tile floor with stairs leading up into the lounge. Its so cold down there and the draugh comes straight up the stairwell into the lounge. How can I stop the draught? I was thinking of a curtain but dont know how practical ir would be.Sealed Pot Challenge member #982

I've just had a tin of baxters soup to warm me up too, read online that Summer should hit us July time so heres hoping!
My electric blanket came today, complete bargain as its washable too so should last years (fingers crossed)!
Got lots to sort out now, just waiting on a few more orders then going to store it all away properly. I have a huge walk in cupboard with floor to ceiling shelving so everything tends to go in there.Mummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:

Candie-Gill Thank you so much for mentioning sports direct. It isn't somewhere I would usually look, but have just had a look and bought 2 hats for hubby, 2 hats for me, and a pair of thinsulate gloves for me. Including postage = 10.99.
I'm constantly cold, so the more woolies I have the better. Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Your Welcome
Fantastic prices arent they! My OH was ordering himself some clothes so i had a nosey and couldn't resist stocking up. The hats i got where reduced from £6 to £1 for my LO, one hat i got myself was reduced from £12 to £1! Three months time these will all be priced right back up again no doubt.Mummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:
