Definitely. I got a couple of the Golddigga hats. My friend buys their clothes and I've always thought them overpriced, but at a quid for one hat and two quid for the other, I don't mind at all.
Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.
    Baby due July 2018.

bought 2 flannelette sheets in charity chops; almost new and £2 each!!!

    bought my wellies.

got several scarves. but need to look at gloves. got 2 pairs knocking around but just cant lay my hands on them!!!

have also got a summer-tog duvet for putting UNDER the undersheet. really cosy.

gave the flannelette sheets to my daughter for boys beds, the under quilt is plenty enough for me.

just need some thick socks for me and the grandkids and gloves for me and them as well.

i have crocheted throws that will keep me warm in the evenings.

maybe need to get a couple of hot water bottles as well. got 2 but when there is visitors, always need more for the kids. always bit chilly and breezy here, i live opposite the sea. in the summer its fabulous. but breezy in the winter.

forgot to mention that i am also starting to look through my trusty store cupboard (oh yes they all laugh at my store cupboatd but who had the last laugh LAST winter?? mmmmm????). more tins and dried needed i think. i have never been caught out yet and last winter i didnt have to go out in all that dreadful snow, at all.

I've started knitting again this past few days, and I'm thinking of knitting up some squares to make a lap blanket that could double as a shawl.

I've decided that come winter I'm going to move bedrooms. I have a lovely big room, with an en suite, however it is part of an extension built by the last owners and goes right up to the roof with no attic, hence no insulation. I was frozen last winter, even with my all year round 13.5 tog duvet.

So, thinking I might move into the spare room, which is well insulated. My husbands room has the same insulation and he was toasty warm all winter. We had a friend living in the spare room all last winter and she was warm enough too. She did mention a problem with the window though, so I'll have to sort that out. When the wind gets up it sounds like an elephant trumpeting so I think there must be a small hole in the sealant. Must fix that.

Hi there just dropping by to say thanks to candie-gill for the heads up about sports direct. I nipped into the Aberdeen branch this morning and got:

Nice winter hat that will keep my ears warm reduced from £12.99 to £3
2 sets of hand warmers reduced to 99p
5 pairs of trainer socks £8.75 reduced to £2.99

There was so much stuff in there I found it hard to resist but managed to get what I wanted and get out....next time I'll wear blinkers :D

Thanks for the SportsDirect heads up. Spent £13, got myself a trapper hat, gloves and slippers. Plus a hats for my Brother and Dad, and scarves for my Mum and Brother's Girlfriend to put away for Christmas.

Went into town to look for hand warmers today. Mainly for my Grandad's Fathers Day present as he's having problems with his hands atm. Couldn't find any (ended up getting him some root liquorice :D) though I did find Colgate Wisps in Home Bargains at 49p a pack. I got my Sister a packet for her plane ride to America but I thought they'd be good for those making emergency car packs?

Thanks for the Sports Direct info - I have a full 'basket' so am off to have a cup of tea and then another look to make sure! I quite fancy some boots but wonder if they take them back ok if they just don't fit - I expect they will.
I've had my thickest cardi on for most of the past week. We had one day of sunshine which was lovely but it feels autumnal really.
