    Hi,

I too am starting to think of the autumn, my second favourite time of year, my favourite being spring. Not that keen on summer...too hot, noisy and the landscape always looked tired and parched!

I love autumn when the kids are back at school:D, the leaves turn golden, warm misty days, jam making, still plenty of veg in the garden, pumpkins etc etc

I love Autumn too, when the nights start to draw in darker and we have a huge fair at the start of Autumn where i live, then there is halloween and bonfire night. Doesnt seam like 5 minutes ago it was january, so i can see winter will soon creep up on us again!

14 more days and the nights start to draw in again where on earth has this year dissappeared to. last winter was a very looong drawn out one with all the snow and disruption.I am stocking up now and again on dry food stuffs pasta, rice ect as they will be guaranteed to rise in price .This morning on t.v. they said prices will go up even more this winter as the grain harvest haven't been good.so dry goods if you can with long shelf life would be a good idea.

    I love Autumn too.

It's blowing a gale & chucking it down here. It's so dark it's like November.

I've just booked someone to come and have a look at some of our radiators. The house is over 20 yrs old now and at the end of the winter we noticed that there were cold patches in the centre of some of them which I would rather fix now, than wait till autumn. Has anyone else had this problem? Did they flush out the radiators individually or what?

Just been to sainsbobs it's BOGOF on candles there atm, so have 300 tealights for lighting the living room and bathroom in the winter :)

do you all buy candles to actually use on a daily basis or is it for power cuts and cosy nights?

I love the idea of using them daily but they are too much of a fire risk for with having 2 young children and a DH who falls asleep in front of the TV lol.

Both. I have a stock that I don't touch for emergencies and will add to that again this year and then I have some to put on for cosy nights, a complete choice of mine but I can't do without the tealights flickering on the mantal
