well it has been snowing about 5 miles away from me so its only a matter of when not if for me :(
Yes we had a bit of snow first thing this morning, it's sunny now but freeeeeezing. I do hope it's not as bad as last year, we had snow for weeks on end. OH has to go into Durham 3 times a week for dialysis and I hate him driving in the snow because I worry so much, last year he couldn't drive because he'd had an op on his hand so patient transport came to pick him up, the poor driver had to dig the ambulance out a few times.

Any water coming from the hills onto the road is frozen solid, puddles are solid ice, and the car has a sprinkling of what looks like icing sugar lol but is frozen snow. Sunny and cheerful though . Poor wee cat's milk was frozen in his saucer at the back door...I gave him some cream :)

Its cold here too, but the sun is out and I have not lit the stove, as we face south the sun warms the sitting room and our bedroom. Stove will be lit when we get back from the Library. OH is dricing me nuts for something to read.

My draught precautions seem to be working well, glad I was able to get the hall door curtain lined before it turned cold, it makes a big differnece.

Right off to make tea and wake the OK....

    Cheers m'dears......

8.30 last night, had to go out and was surprised to find the windscreen iced up already. Not to worry, I thought with a smug grin and opened the boot to retrieve the scraper and de-icer from my bag which I've packed in readiness for the winter. Boot blew down and gave me a crack on my head. Cursing and hanging on to my throbbing head, I discovered that the bag was missing!
Found out later that DH had helpfully locked it in the garage when he emptied the car to take stuff to the tip a few days ago. I had to use a credit card which wasn't very successful. You can't win can you?:(:)

I resorted to my woollen bedsocks last night for the first time. I suffer from cold feet but they they were so warming that I drifted off to sleep almost immediately. We did have a frost and on checking this morning was relieved to find that all my little endive seedlings, planted in my emptied patio pots and covered with mineral bottle cloches with the bottoms sawn off have survived.

We have wet and very windy weather here and it is cold.

DS1 has actually put a tshirt on under his school shirt like a vest, this is a boy who happily plays football in driving rain and icy gales.
    My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
    So we’re empty nesters.
    Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman
