Asda had cream fleeces last week, they were in the 2 for £3 offer.

We also track Santa all day on Christmas eve and do the message from santa online when they break up from school too. Littlies love it, and it amuses the eldest two too,

Great! Thank you - I'll try to get to Asda.

Oooh.. I LIKE this thread.. I find it every year and think i should keep up and never do!

    I need to..

*make door curtains for front and back door
*get curtains back up at the french doors.. they blew a hooley through there last winter!
*get new locks for front and back door and get the back door one in the french doors
*Draft tape ALL the doors and non-DG windows
*Get guttering replaced back and front
    *get girls room plastered
*get blinds cut to size and put up in the kitchen
*Get quotes for DD2's bedroom window and back room bay window so I can save up for them to be replaced in the new year.
    *Boots for DD3 and DGS
*make sure everyone has hats, scarves, gloves & vests.
*make draught snakes for back, front and french doors... I am thinking of knitting some wacky ones and doing a lining so the knitted covers are washable.
*make linings for boys room curtains and put up their blind

    Have already.

*wash and sorted everyones winter coats
    * sorted shoes for everyone and boots for most.
    *Washed windows
    *put up back room curtains

we track santa, but theres also a site where u put in all your childs details and what they have asked santa for and santa talks to them via web cam lol, my nephews love this as we only discovered it when ds was too old.

our tradition is Panto on Christmas eve, then out for a meal then we go home and open a pressie before bed ( always new jammies)

DD was most put out when she said something about Father Christmas one day near Christmas when she was 11 and I blurted out' do you still believe in him then?' She didn't, of course, but she expected me to act as if she did.

And I remember one morning when the tooth fairy hadn't come!!! (I'd gone to bed early and DH was supposed to do it when he came up). Fortunately I had my wits about me that morning, grabbed a pound coin that was on my dressing table without her seeing and said ' nonsense, let me have a look' Slid my hand under her pillow and came out with it in my hand and said - see! Phew!!
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

diddly74, the hamper sounds like such a lovely idea!

My Dad sent me some thermals from Aldi in the post yesterday- they're... interesting. The top is long enough and not too baggy but the sleeves are like 3/4 length baggy sweater sleeves! And the ladies long johns have a willy hole :D

:rotfl: This just cracked me up!
You must be unlucky - my thermals from aldi are fine. Maybe the packer was having an off day :rotfl:

There is a Santa, there is!

I think I would say nothing Confuzzled, and just carry on until she says something directly. My Mum was upset when I told her but I was delighted with myself, thinking I was very grown up. I think I was about 11 but not sure of that. I was fortunate to have a younger sister so I still got gifts from Santa for another few years. I remember trying to convince her to pretend she still believed so we would both get pressies but she wasn't having it!

Today I am going to make the most of the sunny weather and cut the grass one last time till spring. It's very long so will probably take all day and I need frequent breaks. Might bubblewrap the (drained) outside tap too - does anyone know if that is necessary? There is no water in it now so perhaps it can't burst?

Dh dad used to say that he believed in FC at the age of 80+ it was as if Christmas wasn't real without FC.
    My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
    So we’re empty nesters.
    Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
