yesterdays newspaper was advertizing slippers ,like little boots and blankets with arms in,like a fleece top with arms then a blanket ,for sitting on the settee or chair. Would be nice and warm I think.
i prefer slipper boots (the loose kind not the ones that look a bit like mens shoes) as they cover my ankles loosely but comfortably. i can't stand that inch of ankle where the socks always fall down and the trousers ride up as you sit down0 -
I don't read the Mail, was just that my daughter sent me the link - I dont get a newspaper at all here. 12 miles is a wee bit far for the paperboy to cycle0

this sentence is nicely buried in the bottom half of that article though

The only caveat I can think of is that they might make the boots/shoes feel a bit tight and therefore your feel might feel colder. What the heck, I'm going to order some anyway. Nice find! Thanks.
Can I ask where did you see them at that price?0 -
The poster I was responding to (butler_helen) very kindly provided a link to the ebay listing for them:

It's been beautiful here too today - blue sky and warm sunshine all day. Hard to believe it's October! My washing dried in record time and this afternoon I have been putting the back garden to rights for the winter. Bringing things into the garage (sadly no greehouse) to overwinter, taking geranium cuttings and cutting other things back - generally tidying it up. OH dismantled the patio table and put it, along with the chairs, in the garage. Hopefully tomorrow might be the same (says she hopefully!) and I can get the front garden tidied up too. Plus I still have some daffodil bulbs to put in."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
