Applied, and paid for my ESTA fr the family
Think I've made a bo-bo
As I was applying, the first 2 applications dates of issue and dates of expiry were the same day and month, but different years.
My 3rd one (my sons new passport) was unfortunatly a different month expiry
I think I wrote the wrong expiry date (march rather than June, same year and day though)
But I cant seem to check this online when I retrieve it...
Is there a way of checking??
Is it important?
DO i need to do it again (and pay my money again??)
Thanks all

Go to the help page on the website (top right of page below heading) - I'd add links but am not allowed!
Under Updating a Travel Authorization there's a 'How can applicants correct a mistake' link.0 -
Oh dear, thats no good:-
If an applicant enters the wrong Passport Issuance Date or Passport Expiration Date after having paid for the ESTA application, the traveler will need to re-apply for a new travel authorization. The associated fee will be charged for each new application submitted. The previous application will be canceled
So the questions are
1) how do I know if I have entered the wrong date???
2) will this make a difference anywhere in the system, as the expiary date I've given is 1to 2 months bfore it actually expires...???
thanks0 -
I take it you didn't print off the application after you completed it?
You just need to go back to the ESTA site and retrieve your application. If you applied as a group booking all you will need are your Group Number, name and DOB. If you made separate applications you will need the passport number, name and DOB of the one you are querying.0 -

I would def do as Luci suggests and try and recall your application/ESTA if it is wrong apply again ots only $14 and not worth the worry about possibly not being let in to the US0 -

You CAN apply for ESTA, but the answer to the question about CiMTs is YES. (arson and theft are CiMTs). A previous immigration court ruling in the US has stated YOU cannot withhold information about the crimes.
If you decided to travel by land then juvenile exceptions would kick in and you could argue the fact at the crossing (made more difficult due to the previous visits where you incorrectly filed in the form).0 -
Hi,
Currently getting all my travel documents ready to go away in June. Was just wondering, I was born in Canada. Moved back to the UK with my parents when i was 3 and got a British passport ever since. Looking to renew my Canadian passport at the minute, and was just wondering if I fly from Belfast using my Canadian passport, do I need an ESTA? And would everything be okay on the US border side?0 -
I was about to fill out an ESTA application but in 2000 I was sentenced to 9 months in prison for conspiracy to defraud. This is the only time i've been in trouble with the law and I believe under UK law this is now spent but would I have to declare this on the ESTA form as moral turpitude?0

Yes.

If you are planning on traveling visa free under the Visa Waiver Program you should be aware that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act does not apply to U.S. visa law and a spent conviction, regardless of when it may have occurred, must be declared
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
