probably best on the main holidys board rather than this thread. also try review sites(google to find then for nile/egypt)
I haven't been on a nile cruise either but my folks did last year and they said it was not as enjoyable as a conventional cruise...more of a narrow boat with one restaurant and not much to do. I wouldn't recommend it for people with young children.0 -
It's not a bargain per se, but a good price for a mini cruise at the start of school holidays if you are not too far from Southampton. It is going to Zeebrgugge (so trips to Bruges or just get free shuttle bus to nearby town which has a beach) and St Peter's Port in Guernsey. A 4 berth inside guarantee cabin for 2 adults and 2 kids came out at £660. We've booked :j. Most agents seems to have this deal and I don't think it is likely to get much cheaper.0

thanks gm4l I'm very tempted to book the RCI deal for £226. Is the AOS ship any good when comparing it say to something like the jade?0

Been on Navigator and that was good, RCI are different to NCL.
Flights are the main issue for these late bookings
I looked at going Solo(OH is on a girly trip to see flowers) but total is a bit too much.0 -
Celebrity Silhouette 18may ex Venice 12nights
$755 inc taxes so £470 inside GTY booking through the US.
other dates itineraries similar prices.
UK is £885.0 -
thanks gm4l I decided against the adventure of the seas ship.....reviews don't seem good. The consensus seems to be amoungst reviewers that the ships standards have slipped the past two years.
As an experiment I followed your lead and checked the RCI deal for £226 on RCI's irish site. Price was 249 euros which according to google is £203.81
Think I will in future check usa, irish and european sites before making a booking!
A further thing I remember being said in the past on the main holiday boards was that different countries have different school holiday dates so that can mean the same flight dates vary in price.
Maybe there might be a cruise deal over jubilee weekend on say an irish, spanish, french, usa etc site?0 -
I check NCL UK/EU/US prices never tried a EU RCI check.
Good point about the flights I rairly bother Xchecking those just use skyscanner.0 -
