Great, thanks. A bit different to any of my other MSC cruises. They had changed the service a little for the US crowd and carried on with that back to Europe. Expect it will be more Italian flovoured now they are sailing out of Genoa again.

Have a good trip and let us know what you think of Marco Polo when you are back.

There don't seem to be many good deals at the moment, however I have found a few for those are on a budget and don't mind sailing on a costa cruise!

Lots of 7 night med/greece and italy cruises from venice, savona (pain to get to), rome, marseill and barcelona all priced at £199 +50 Euros gratuities for April and May.

An example of flights are London standsted with ryanair and coming back with easyjet to London Gatwick is coming in about £52 return on the mse flight checker. I am guessing with bags and credit card charges you are looking about £100 there.

All in thats just under £350 with the flights......not bad.

Im sure you can probably get a similar deal from barcelona flight wise.

Just been reading a thread on cruise.co.uk about Costa now charging for in-cabin breakfast.

Can't work out Costa's thinking at all.

After coupon collector's post, I found a last minute Dubai to Trieste on their Classica at £299 double occ inside and £379 single occ inside. Have been keeping my eye on it as I thought the single supplement would be removed. However, now a single occcupancy search returns no availability but, if you search for double occ, lots of cabins of all categories come up!

Seems like they prefer to sail with empty cabins than have only one person paying the daily service charge.

ive never been on a cruise before and i would like to take my 5 year old to egypt as shes mad on pyramids, temples en all!... Am i best to fly in to luxor seperately and search the web for a cruise that departs from there or does anybody know of a cruise/fly/transfers package that I can book here?
I can go anytime in july or august or from october 26 as long as im back by november 6th + or - a few days.

Ive read the thread and prehaps somebody could give me a heads up on how the cruise ships try to squeeze money out of you? I read the tips automatically going into an your account with horror! I will tip personally if someone deserves it!...if there are any other tips anybody can give me please let me know! as im also planning an MSC opera trip in June

regular cruises a re not really ideal they only do Cairo and most it is a long dy trip by coach

2 center, nile cruise with a Cairo add on is best for temples and pyramids.

It gets VERY VERY HOT.

oct 29th is perfect...of course its not 359. they quoted me 495 each with no discount for a child, which i understand, however they must have added 2 lots of 99 for full excursion package to the quote...i cant see that a 5 year old would pay a full excursion price package?...even so thats only 458 each....perhaps the rest is transfers?

Have you heard of the cruise boat in the link? am i looking in the right place?

Can't help with Nile boats never done one or researched beyond TXT when that was around on analoge.

probably best on the main holidys board rather than this thread. also try review sites(google to find then for nile/egypt)
