Also on a slightly more serious note empty egg boxes should not be passed on as children who are allergic to eggs can get a potentially fatal reaction from just touching an empty (used) egg box

I can't believe that! They can even be allergic to the shell?

(he he - did make me think of the wizard of oz though - sorry:( )

How do you tell that? Isn't it just hayfever?

Sorry, have no idea about allergies, have none myself.

  • Hayfever is usually a reaction to pollen. It is possible to be allergic to other parts of flowers / some flowers but have no reaction to pollen.

Some people have peanut allergies so severe that they have to wear masks if they go out because just breathing in an invisible speck of peanut could kill them.

OMG  I know some people have bad allergies but I didn't realise they could be so severe!

my aunt in law has a bad peanut allergy, but it definatly isn't as bad as that!

No cat now, but used to put out cat fur for the birds to line their nests with (don't think they understood the irony  ). Actually the birds knew that she was too lazt to bother them and used to peck around on the lawn while she was snoozing nearby!

LOL, if they hadn't been frozen they probably would have been :D

I had some mash left over, knew I had the frozen cooked cabbage in the freezer and when I opened the tub found the roasties in there too, threw it all into the food processor and managed to come up with the best bubble and squeak I have ever made.

What is bubble and squeak and how exactly does one make it? again, i'm a newbie and it's too late in the day for me to keep track of the proper place to post things. if this is not allowed please tell me!!! :o i'll listen, promise! :p

    Hi Learningtoseave!

Bubble and squeak is leftover cabbage and potato fried up the next day, until it goes crispy, nice with lots of ketchup!

The £2 challenge is saving up all the £2 coins you get and banking them to see how much you can save, think there's a thread about it somewhere!
