I got some of the 1p 300g boxes of Tesco Finest Dessert Chocolate Collection today, so thanks for everyone who has posted about these. Just in case anyone doesn't know, the barcode for these is 5 052320 788088
Incidentally has anyone scanned the 330g boxes of Terry's Segsations recently - barcode ends in 1202? They have some of these on the shelf in one of my local stores, but there's no price on the SEL for them, just a barcode. These have the look of a possible 1p item, but the store has no scanner so I can't check.

This thread is amazing! What do you guys do if the item scans up as normal price? Put it back? I'm such a scaredy cat!I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0

I got a box of Baileys Assorted Truffles for 1p today. Its a red box, 120g, bc ends 11561. I cant make out BBE date because of where its been printed. I THINK its May 2012
FYI, i've found two boxes of the mcvities temptations now in different stores and both times they have scanned at £3.00 :-(Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Hi everyone regarding finding items for 1p, would you know if a barcode scanner app on a smart phone would pick up these bargains ? If so could anyone recommend the best app for doing so. ThanksLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
Since first using Martins I have saved thousands0 -
I haven't tried it myself, but I think the barcode apps use the website price database, rather than the instore price database (which can also be manually overridden by each shop). The website database and the instore database often have products for different prices. So a phone app would never show the 1p bargains, but it might show you if a product is available cheaper on the Tesco website. So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0
