Did you scan the nuts ? They'd gone up to well over a quid in my local yesterday!

    Hi,

I am just getting to grips with this new 'DTD' (from when i have previously DTD' with price check)

Can somebody please clarify this before I go out shopping?
    My understanding

You go to tesco and purposly buy something for a price which is higher than stated on the shelf from which you bought it.
You then go to customer service and get a re-fund of the difference, doubled.

Is above correct? and does anybody know where I can find this policy on tesco website?

    Thank you in advance !!

    Hi phill007439
You got the DTD understanding right, not sure where it would say it on there website but it would be on a big blue board stuck behind customer service counter.
With it being printed there as their policy you "should" get it every time but be prepared, depending on who you get behind the desk it's not that easy. They will try many many lies and tricks to get out of giving you the money!
Good luck and don't forget to let us know if you come across any bargains while your there :D

You got it, but you obviously don't go in on purpose, you find out when you get to your car that you've been overcharged ;-)

Oh and you won't find the overcharge policy on the website! They don't want it advertised too much, although there should be a mini version on a sticker at every point of sale (till) which includes a few other policys.

And ofcourse the big blue board which you happen to read whilst the cs person goes looking for the offending SEL ;-)

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
Just got my first ever DTD at Knocknagoney store Belfast
They have the black stripey glasses still stickered 4 for £3 but SEL states 6 for £6 so got £4.16 back. They must have just got them in as I hadn't seen them there before.
Lovely SA gave me DTD and told me thats what he was doing, I acted all surprised. When we left my son told me I was a very good actress!

They also had the Dad and Grandad socks for 25p on the top rail of the mens socks but only a few at the back were priced as such. HTH someone.
