Thought I'd found a super bargain today - large box of Finest Belgian Chocolate biscuits reduced to 34p. Then noticed the BB date was Jan 2009!!

The best, and easiest cheescake is to mix a tub of philly (or any cream cheese), a tub of double cream (whipped) and then mix in a melted lemon jelly (melted without water, my friend made that mistake so I have to specify in my instructions now lol).

Add to a biscuit base and chill until set. Scrummy :)

Yum, sounds delicious, making me hungry :rotfl::rotfl:

Lots of squeezey jam in Ab3rd33n Dan3ston3 when I was there earlier.

On another note, I can't remember which thread it was on but someone was talking about borrowing the SEL to take to the price check scanner rather than carrying large bulky items like TV's etc. Well in my store beside the SEL is a little box of tokens that you take one out to the till and they fetch what you want. These have barcodes on them and you could just take them to the price checker.

YES! - I did this earlier today with a mobile phone with an out-of-date SEL. It scanned ever lower than the SEL offer though

The goodies bars scanned at 59p each in my store- they were the correct bar code. Bit gutted, I had found about 15 of them - they were also on a clip strip.

Same here - 59p. Perhaps it's a Scotland only glitch?

Wonder what they do with out of date items if you put them through the till? I know there's lots of starbucks coffee in my store, (the 3 sachet packs), each and everyone one of them is past it's BB, as I keep scanning them, hoping they'll go down to 1p! lol
