1p finds at Tesco thread

Today I was talking to one of my friends whose OH works in Tesco. She told me that Tesco have devised a scheme whereby they won't have any more 1p items. They just put reduced yellow sticker over the offending reduced-to-clear items rather than taking it off their system by reducing to 1p. Sounds plausible?Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

My local have already started this, they did it with the koko's, roses etc

Wonder what they do with out of date items if you put them through the till? I know there's lots of starbucks coffee in my store, (the 3 sachet packs), each and everyone one of them is past it's BB, as I keep scanning them, hoping they'll go down to 1p! lol
this means the staff arent rotating stock properly!! even on grocery you are meant to make sure the older stock is pulled forward if it has a shorted date than the new stuff youre putting out. when i took over my aisles (used to fill at night) there was loads of stuff 1-2 years out of date on the back of the shelves or up high as the guy i took over from had a bad back and shoulder so couldnt reach these things! was quite worrying really having shopped in there.... All out of date stuff SHOULD be removed and wasted by the shelf filling staff. (even those only past best before not "sell or use by" were wasted in our store) Theoretically unless the line is a terrible seller, there should never be out of date stuff on the shelf if the stock rotation is done right... close to date stuff should be reduced to shift it pre BB.0 -

Add to a biscuit base and chill until set. Scrummy
Sounds yummy
What size tubs should I use please:)0 -

I wouldn't be sure of the legalities.
However, I've claimed several times for glasses over the last few months, and each time, in different stores, the staff have particularly checked that each glass has had a sticker on it.

All my glasses claims (I've had many, many, many in the same store) have involved one glass having the sticker on out of four. I usually say I just picked up any four glasses, as long as one had a sticker I presumed they were all in the offer. If I ever get a counter-argument, I'll say, quite rightly, that there are more glasses with stickers on on the shelf if they want me to swap them.
The reason I do this (one glass with sticker, three without) is so my chances of getting another four on my next visit are increased!10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -

My local is now doing this too. Shelf loads of make up mostly, few other things too, like Mother's day chocolates which must surely be down to a penny by now?!
No problem though, I'm sure there will be other items at greater than a penny, like the teabags, that will still be on the shelvesThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

Scanning at 59p in R*ading W*est Extra too, was gutted as they were a right pain to get off the clip strips too
No squeezy jam or tea bags with the correct code. I did also find one lone box of mega blocks....but the 1/2 price label had been removed
However, with the use of some coupons I reduced a £21 shop to £10 :j Had I had more than 2 whiskas vouchers I could have reduced it more (got 4 boxes in the end) but they were on a decent offer anyway and our kitty is well stocked up now.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
