  • The best, and easiest cheescake is to mix a tub of philly (or any cream cheese), a tub of double cream (whipped) and then mix in a melted lemon jelly (melted without water, my friend made that mistake so I have to specify in my instructions now lol).

Add to a biscuit base and chill until set. Scrummy :)

sounds gorgeous- how much cream do i need? Thank you

    Evening everyone,

Found an RTC item to watch out for. I bought it anyway as thought was a good price.

    Spontex 4 Washups - Special Value Pack, 51p Barcode 3 384126 080038.

Can't remember the original price but the twin pack was around the same price as the reduced one for the four, I know the value ones worked out cheaper but I thought these hopefully better quality ones would last bit longer. HTHs

Today I was talking to one of my friends whose OH works in Tesco. She told me that Tesco have devised a scheme whereby they won't have any more 1p items. They just put reduced yellow sticker over the offending reduced-to-clear items rather than taking it off their system by reducing to 1p. Sounds plausible?

I think you may be right, as i said in my earlier message page343.. (6860) I over heard 3 men in suits training a member of staff today
    Cheers :)

yeh but if they left a few 1p items to go crazy over, we'd all forget (well maybe:D) about searching for in store misprices/DTD's saving themselves alot of money

I think a few strategically placed 1p items would do just the job!

    Hi
I was in Tesco this afternoon getting some paxo stuffing 20p - 85g

3 men in suits was chatting to one of the tesco shelf fillers showing him this held machine that was printing out labels with writing on The labels were yellow and white in colour, something like the reduced labels (i think) couldn't see very well wasn't that close.
After the machine printed the label he then put it on the outer box of the new stock then put it on the top shelf were the stock is held
The men in suits said "stock can be price checked and label before going on shop floor and stock price & control should be easier" Couldn't over hear much more tooo many people were around. what a pain.
Have Mr T got his house in order???... no never
Maybe thats why we are not seeing 1p items lately??

Look out for the new yellow and white labels on new stock, see if you can make anything out of it. I will take a look next time i go in
Maybe nothing hopefully not. i'm just getting into this lark
cheers:) Thanks for all your help and advice everyone. Iv'e been a bit of a lurker, my confidence is building

I went along to my local T's tonight (G**dma*es) and there were lots of these stickers on the boxes of new stock on top shelves. I noticed that they had dates on them (the couple I could see were dated yesterday and the day before) and some writing but can't remember what it said (I had DS with me and he wanted to get home). They do look exactly like the reduced stickers that Tesco's use.

Also, the cereal bars scanned at 59p for me too :(
Again, no T-bags, chilli nuts (there's never been an SEL for these in my local either) or anything else. I did ask for a price check again on the kid's gardening sets that some people had got reduced last week but they are still scanning at £5

    HTH

    hi,
my local is certainlly tightening there belts and keeping eye on dtds

I found a black bucket today my first dtd find.... sc trout took the label off the shelf, also as soon as she had given me the dtd money back, she was on the phone to someone.
Anyone would think it was coming out of her pocket.
But i was pleased with my small find
    cheers:)

I agree, think it's plausible, but will not mean the end of penny items! The dog toys are still around and still 1p. There are many items that aren't end-of-line that crop up at a penny (remember Cuponk and After Eights?).
